The Point Bar and Grill

It's a bar with great burgers and the fries are too die for. Fried chicken on Wednesdays=yummy.
Cowboy songs on the jute box. Loud friendly crowd. It's like any neighborhood bar, dark, welcoming and friendly.

Was recommended the fried chicken special by chef steph. The chicken was juicy and the meal was hearty. Chef steph is awesome

Been going there for years, mainly to eat. The new cook, hired by the new owners, is not working out for me or my friends. The burger and fries are not good compared to the food before the new owners. Frozen fries suck, the burger has shrunk and the bun is generic at best. New owners are obviously looking to increase profit margins, fair enough, but don't cheapen the product. Make a reasonable price increase if needed but bring back the sesame seed bun, the bigger burger and hand cut fries.

I would prefer to discuss this with the new owners but they do not have a website, FB page or email address and are not there in the evenings.

The windows haven't been washed for decades. Would be nice to see outside.

I’m writing this review for THE POINT owner directly , are you not paying enough to your staff ..?.
She was discussing about customers are not tipping. After a moment we went to bar asked for drink she DENIED straight on face (loudly)said “we don’t work for free “ and she walked out from us . Drinks are okay not like outstanding. It was very bad experience
If you’re looking for a good place to hang out with friends there’s a lot nearby but not THE POINT service was bad. And talking about tipping it’s their extra income but they think that tip is their only payment so maybe that’s why she told in front of everyone that she is not gonna serve me because i am not tipping but she needs to learn how to communicate with their fellow servers coz i am gonna tip just one server not all.

Love the local bar feel and great for drinks. Food, not so much. The meatloaf sandwich was day old meatloaf reheated, burnt, on the grill. French fries were dry and mushy.
