Prices are better. Not the typical cost+CoS tariff. You may need a reservation. They pride themselves in serving fresh-from-the-kitchen for everyone. No food sits under a warmer.

We visited this restaurant on 22 September 25 for dinner to see if we could bring visitors here when they arrive.
The location, in a run down strip mall, kind of set the impression. The interior is basic, for sure with cafeteria style chairs and tables.
The plus: service and attendance is lovely. Nice people with great attitude.
The proof is in the pudding however. The food is mediocre at best. We had the Jäger and Hungarian Paprika Schnitzels. Worth mentioning perhaps, we are both of German descent and lived in Germany for a good part of our lives. Authentic is not the word I’d apply here. The Schnitzels themselves were ok, nothing special, but ok. However the Paprika sauce was out of a bottle and the mushroom gravy for the Jägerschnitzel was watery and adorned with a couple of sad mushrooms. The sides were ok and my veggies fresh, hence not a complete loss. Not good enough for a second visit, however.

$8.50 charge to sit outside. $1.00 charge for kitchen. Total $9.50.
This policy takes tip money away from servers! I tipped $8.00 (10%) but the server would have gotten $16.00 (20%) had they not had these ridiculous fees.
Just raise your food prices guys! No one likes fee add ons that you have instituted.

I'm native German and my Mother was an amazing cook So I know German cooking . Uwe's is exceptional and very good prices

This brought back a lot of memories. My grandmother was German and we just lost her last July and haven't had her cooking in a long time so it was really good to find a restaurant that had a similar style to her cooking. My husband and I will definitely be back.
