Our server was wonderful, hard-working woman!!!!! food was great!!!!!
They close at 9 tonight and we went in at 8:30 with the intention of just getting two slices of pie for my wife’s birthday. Going in the guy rudely told us they close in 30 minutes (we knew that). It was clear they didn’t want our business so we just left and went to Cheddar’s where we’re receiving great service right now.
Whatever time they say they close, subtract an hour or two if you actually want service.
Great place for a good quick breakfast
Village inn got a huge upgrade. The kids were not excited about the change. There is less privacy of the tables. But the overall look is very updated and pretty, a nice atmosphere. We noticed that the portion sizes are bigger. And the recipes taste delicious. I haven't tried their new pie varieties but I bet they're good too.
We used a $10 off coupon tonight and tipped **20%** on the pre-discount total. After paying on the handheld device, the server went to the kitchen to print the receipt, and very LOUDLY yelled to the staff back there about how people always come in with a coupon and only tip $2 without fail. Well, in fact, we tipped $5.89 (20% tip on pre-discount and after-tax total making it more than 20%) so it was really rude to be yelling this so loudly for the entire restaurant to hear when it wasn't even true. See receipt.
My husband and I went to this Village Inn that is not far from where we live. He ordered a Denver omelette that came with hash browns and pancakes and I got their new air fried chicken breast with mashed potatoes, brown gravy on the side and corn bread stuffing. His hash browns were burned, his pancakes were awful way too thick and tasteless. My chicken breast and mashed potatoes with brown gravy on the side was okay but the corn bread stuffing was horrible so I did not eat them. The waitress was hopping from one table to another because obviously she had way too many tables she was waiting on. We will never eat at this Village Inn again.
Great Village Inn. Fantastic service and probably the best bacon I’ve ever had. The pancakes with warm syrup is a great touch.
Had to wait almost 30 minutes for drinks. They had 1 server for the entire restaurant and kept seating everyone that walked in. If you only have 1 server, why seat everyone coming in and then have them get crappy service?? Should put people on a wait if you are that short staffed. Not one time did we see a manger anywhere either. I went to the restroom and one of the kitchen staff came out of the stall and walked right out and back to work without washing his damn hands🤢. This is beyond foul!!! Staff needs better basic health training and better management.
It was about 2pm and the chairs were all on the tables. They were cleaning and sweeping the floors around us. We asked if they getting ready to close. What a I did not like was sweeping and everything flying around while trying to eat. Was definitely not impressed with the reopening.
If you've never had a pie from the Village Inn, go here for your first time! Their Triple Berry pie was amazing!

11 Dec 24 - Went to breakfast with a friend of mjne this mornjng and there were two couples ahead of us waiting to be seated. Finally the guy showed up from inside and started seating people. Just like most restaurants in town they only had two waitress working which also had to bus the table when the customers left. Amanda our waitress was friendly and fast. Their coffee is really good, our breakfast was great and portions were good size.

We hadn't been to Village Inn for some time. It's more of a breakfast/ lunch than a dinner place. Which was cool. (That Woodman/ Powers intersection is a total shit show come quiting time) We ordered a Ruben, and the fish and chips with coleslaw. The Ruben tasted good. Unfortunately, it had me holding porcelain at 0330ish. The wife said the coleslaw was not good. And the fish was just not there. Maybe try the breakfast menu...

Dirty utensils.
Bad service
Friday night and they are closing at 9 pm. Disappointing but the visit was excellent all the same. My pie is great too, after a breakfast entree.

I give atmosphere a one star because it's old and dirty. Dust every where. The manager told me about a remodel but that has yet to happen. They won't even close a day for deap cleaning. It's like they don't care. There a weird vibe in between managers and staff. What happen to the American standard they put the receipt on the table while you eating. You can't finish and ask for the bill. A lot needs to change for me to stay a regular.
