11 Dec 24 - Went to breakfast with a friend of mjne this mornjng and there were two couples ahead of us waiting to be seated. Finally the guy showed up from inside and started seating people. Just like most restaurants in town they only had two waitress working which also had to bus the table when the customers left. Amanda our waitress was friendly and fast. Their coffee is really good, our breakfast was great and portions were good size.

We hadn't been to Village Inn for some time. It's more of a breakfast/ lunch than a dinner place. Which was cool. (That Woodman/ Powers intersection is a total shit show come quiting time) We ordered a Ruben, and the fish and chips with coleslaw. The Ruben tasted good. Unfortunately, it had me holding porcelain at 0330ish. The wife said the coleslaw was not good. And the fish was just not there. Maybe try the breakfast menu...

Dirty utensils.
Bad service
Friday night and they are closing at 9 pm. Disappointing but the visit was excellent all the same. My pie is great too, after a breakfast entree.

I give atmosphere a one star because it's old and dirty. Dust every where. The manager told me about a remodel but that has yet to happen. They won't even close a day for deap cleaning. It's like they don't care. There a weird vibe in between managers and staff. What happen to the American standard they put the receipt on the table while you eating. You can't finish and ask for the bill. A lot needs to change for me to stay a regular.

One waiter. People walking in the door repeatedly. We kept waiting for service. Finally we said it's going to take too long. The waiter got very rude and turned his back to us as he walked off. Very low class. We went somewhere else.

Just what one would expect good American style food at decent prices. Service is good they are just most always seemingly short handed so they do their best.

In my experience, you always get good service at Village Inn. We usually get the VIB because you never leave hungry. It was on a Wednesday and they were giving away free pie as a promotional thing for a limited time. I got the lemon meringue pie and my daughter got chocolate pie. The lemon meringue was almost as good as my mom's!
We look forward to our next visit, thanks
