“I visited the Waffle House on Fillmore recently, and while I didn’t expect much more than a quick breakfast fix, I left genuinely impressed — mostly because of the service. Our waiter was truly awesome. He greeted us right away with a smile, made sure our table was clean, and stayed attentive throughout the meal without ever feeling overbearing.
What really stood out was how he handled my iced coffee request. Waffle House doesn’t normally carry iced coffee (which I already knew going in), but he went out of his way to work something out for me. That kind of effort is rare in a fast-paced diner setting, and I really appreciated it. It wasn’t just the service — he made the whole experience feel more personal.
The food was exactly what I was craving: simple, hot, and cooked just right. I got the All-Star Special with a waffle, scrambled eggs, sausage, and hashbrowns. Everything came out fresh and fast — the waffle had that perfect soft center and crispy edge, and the hashbrowns had just the right golden crisp.
As far as the restaurant itself, the atmosphere was what you’d expect from a Waffle House — small, busy, and a bit chaotic, but that’s part of the charm. I’ve read reviews where people complain about cleanliness or rude staff, but honestly, I didn’t experience any of that. The kitchen looked clean, the floors were maintained, and the staff seemed to work well as a team. You can tell they’ve got some regulars too — always a good sign.
If you’re looking for fine dining, this obviously isn’t the place. But if you want classic diner food at a good price, with surprisingly great service, this Fillmore Waffle House is worth the stop. I’ll definitely be back — and fingers crossed I get the same waiter next time.“
“Every time I come in here where there's 2 and AM or 2 PM. No one is ever sitting on their back. Everyone is really nice. They wait on you hand and foot, they actually earn their paycheck, and they know how to do their job. Thank you so much waffle house, and while your employees“
“This waffle house here. I will say I've been to many... It's family tradition. Our server was kind I'll state she was so on point doing her job. Anyways while we are waiting to order a water some woman and her man in the line to pay decides to charge at me, I look out the corner of my eye like what did I just see because for sure in that moment I'm seeing her husband hold her back by having his arm around her neck. I tell my partner like whispering what's happening with this lady she didn't even get to look back the man at that point had stopped kissing her face and released her neck. SHE CAME CAHRGING AT ME again. My partner and I genuinely not understanding what this lady is even mad about quickly assert she will not be putting hands on me and I tell her man like get her again because what the hell? He's holding her by her neck until they walk out the damn store. Safe to say.... It does meet waffle house qualifications and I WILL BE GOING BACK 🤏🤏😎“
