I visited The Springs for work a couple of weeks ago and was staying at a hotel within a five minute walk to White Pie. I had to go!
I just moved to Canada a few months ago from Italy, where my family had lived for the past 4 1/2 years. I have become very particular about Italian food. But pizza is pretty universal! And now that I am in North America, I wanted a good one!
I went to White Pie twice, the first and last night of my work trip. I ordered the same thing both nights: the spicey Sicilian style pizza, a glass of Italian wine from Langhe, and the tiramisù for dessert. Everything was amazing!
However, I have three minor quibbles. And they are the most miniscule of quibbles, and it's only because I love Italian food so much.
1. I really wanted to try a white pizza on Neapolitan style crust with sausage and baby broccoli. My favorite pizza in Italy was called the friarielli, which is almost the same thing, and I assumed what the White Pie pizza makers were aiming for. The only difference is that a traditional friarielli uses broccoli rabe, and the idea of substituting baby broccoli was a huge stumbling block in my mind. It probably tastes great, though, it's my loss. But I wanted the traditional friarielli or nothing. Instead I got the spicey Sicilian style pizza which was amazing and I had zero complaints.
2. The red wine listed on the menu was a Barbera d'Asti. But the wine in the restaurant was nebbiolo. Both come from Langhe, and both use nebbiolo grapes, but they are different wines. This is truly a quibble, or a quibblino even. And whatever, the wine tasted awesome and I loved it.
3. The tiramisù was amazing and it was served in a really classy, traditional dish instead of just plopped on a plate or deconstructed in a jar or something dumb like that. It was classy. But I don't think the savoiardi cookies were dipped in coffee. Maybe some coffee was mixed in with the mascarpone? The tiramisù was sweet, but I couldn't taste espresso. On the other hand, they White Pie people innovated by putting a wafer on top, which was a great idea. It made me break my diet.
So, those are my three tiny quibblini. I'm fact, I loved the restaurant. The waitresses were all super nice. The food was excellent and innovative. I totally wish I could walk down the street to White Pie any day of the week. It's one of the best pizzas I've tasted in the USA. Keep up the good work y'all!

I’ve never been here
We quite often inquire about great pizza places as my wife and I are transplants from Minnesota. This place was not on anyone's list, but it is certainly on ours. 5 🌟

Food delicious, place very pleasant except for my server. Pretty rude!!!
I went with two friends and never made eye contact with me, also was coming to the table and ask my two friends if they want another drink and walk away and don’t even make eye contact with me or ask if I also want another drink and turned around. I said excuse me, excuse me … try to ask for another drink and pretended didn’t hear me.
Pretty rude server for a nice place.
Cool atmosphere. Great service. Food in my opinion was ok. But not ok for the price. Probably won’t go back.

Way overpriced for what you get! They charge you for every little side. I found a new pizza place, I don’t miss this one at all.

White Pie came into Colorado Springs and they met and exceeded all the hype. Our firm loves to try new places (it's not new anymore) but I can't say enough good things about the food and service. This type of restaurant is revitalizing downtown and they have earned the 5 stars.

Great pizza and atmosphere! Although the wait was very long for 2 pizzas, I really enjoyed the taste of both types of crusts.

This place hawks itself as a neighborhood pizzaria from the northeast US. Its appearance is way more modern, the music had alot of bass and was played a bit loud for my tastes. The atmosphere was more yuppie than neighborhood pizzaria. The staff on this early Sunday afternoon seemed essentially bothered by the mere presence of customers. While friendly the service was slow and inattentive. The food did taste good however.

Ella and Raphi were the main reasons I would come back. I wasn’t sure at first if I’d be psyched about white pie when I was thinking about coming by, but I’m happy I did because the service was tip top. Would recommend 👌
