Great little historic bar/restaurant in downtown Creede. When I was there they were out of most of what was on the menu - but I can't fault them for that because it was the end of a holiday weekend and there aren't a lot of restaurant supply stores near Creede. What was available was tasty.
Beer selection leans toward biker tastes.
If I had any notes it is that the waitstaff were a little short and seemed exhausted - but again it was the end of a holiday weekend.

I had a blast stopping in here for moment. People are way too busy being real in the greatest way here. I had this sandwich called the Molly S. that's like this amazing mad scientist bbq-adjacent sandwich. there's clearly an undiscovered genius setting the menu. I also had a great local Pilsner. stop in here if you like a good happy bbq joint / bar atmosphere and delicious BBQ and similar food.

We shared a BBQ sandwich called the Honeywagon. It's basically a mixture of beef and pork BBQ with sauce mixed in. It's not huge for the $, but it's good. We had chips for a side. When our order came out, it looked someone had eaten half the chips ;), so our server brought us a bag. All was good.

Wow. This place is disgusting. Re used plastic solo cups for drinks. Nasty. I could see the cracking in the cup from heavy use. Service was good. But the food was the worst bbq I've ever had in my life. Plus kraft mac and cheese for $41.. Just gross. Come on do better. This is just wrong to be serving this trash. Not cool.

Amazing place, very relaxed atmosphere in a beautiful mountain town. Great BBQ and staff serving it. If you are in town and would like a cocktail or beer, then this is the place to go.

Delicious brisket, generous portion. Nice touch with onion and pickle added. Potato salad and beer nice and cold. Great service! Would be better with music level lower, as I had to speak very loudly to be heard.

Walked in and right away the little feller behind the bar made it clear he has some issues. I only wanted to get a coke and a sandwich. ASK for a menu and after reading it ordered a sandwich. Hateful like he said we are out of those. It was a all meat BBQ I ask him are you out of a type of meat he said no not out of anything just that sandwich. I said oh. I ordered chicken wings and he ask full or half? I said full he ask sauce? Buffalo i replied...30 minutes later he brough me a half order said it'll be 20 more minutes for the other half if you want to wait. I said i ordered a full why didn't he just cook all at once and said I don't know so the little bitty man with a apron and an attitude wasted my time and money. The place is a dump and the attitude of the bartender is pathetic as he is incompetent and trash for doing any paying customer the way he did me. Kips has atmosphere and nice people this place is best avoided. Prices are too high no sauce half cooked chicken. Trying to flex their power...lmao power to mess up an order every way possible. Want to have a drink and relax, go to kips

My husband's burger was completely over cooked, my ahi was just okay for the lettuce wraps, I felt as though the bartender was unimpressed with us because all we wanted to drink was water considering we had just came back from the springs and soaking for a couple hours so we definitely needed water she just seemed very put off and when my husband asked what his options were for a side she wouldn't run through the list or talk to us she just pointed at the menu and said that they were there.... Pretty rude and just didn't really give the care of what a server who works for tips would present themselves....

My family happened upon this place while exploring the area around Creede and decided to give it a shot. We didn't have many options as the quaint, little town of Creed had so few dining options that were open, but we were craving BBQ anyway. We were immediately seated and served by the helpful staff. The food was great and the portions were large. The family opted for the pulled pork sliders while I had the Okie Pokie (?) pulled pork sandwich. Yum! The baked beans were awesome also, and the price for all of us came in at under $50. I'd recommend Tommyknocker Tavern if you find yourself in Creede, Colorado and needing a bite to eat.
