Great experience as a first time visitor. Rachel was our server for a group of 9 and handled it like a pro. Food and drinks came out at perfect times and were all wonderful. Got one of every steak and they were all equally delicious. Great salad and apps. Kitchen splitting salad is a nice touch. Highly recommend!

Hands down an amazing dinner both food and service. Greg and Tina at the bar were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable in the menu and all wines/beverages. The oysters were from Washington and were silky and buttery. The Elk eas tender and cooked perfectly at m/r witha truffle hollandaise that paired well with the elk. The filet you could cut with a butter knife. Greg's wine pairings were perfect, a puilly fume with the oysters and a great light Cab that did not overpower the Elk. It was a great dining experience. It is pricey but worth it if you you do enjoy culinary experiences.

Overall, very expensive for mediocre food, would not recommend.Positives:Service was good, great waitressBread was very goodSome vegetables were goodVegetarian dish was okayNegatives:Steaks (not cheap) and main reason for visiting had very little taste & the charred outside was too much and overpowered what little taste there was in the meat.No loaded jacket potatoes - how does a restaurant run out of these? However could still provide fries and cheesy mashed potatoes!Crème Brûlée - too thick crust which was therefore really chewy and took a long time to get through, not light as it should be.Barolo wine was a lot lighter than expected for a Barolo but was fine enough to drink. This place has to decide whether it is a high end expensive restaurant or not as we do not expect to be in same space as a bar with big TVs showing sports - make your mind up or close the space off. Finally imposing a 6% cost of living surcharge is really quite incredible on any level let alone in a high end expensive restaurant, quite amazing!!Overall we could not recommend this establishment. We came with high expectations and left sadly very disappointed .

It's a nice place but a bit pricey. Our steak was very good. My wedge salad was big enough for 2 people. Sides were good and definitely large enough for 3-4 people. We did get a surprise when the check arrived and had a 6% affordable housing fee. Overall; everyone was happy with their food and we will return.

Wanted to love our experience, but we struggled to. The raviolis and Brussels sprouts were amazing, but the rest was just ok. Our server was lukewarm at best until it was time to pay. For the price, I expect more.

Delicious, if somewhat pricey chop house. I got the Elk steak over bison sausage ravioli (delicious!) and my son chose the filet. Both were slightly undercooked but not significant enough to send back. Food came out very fast. We ordered 3 courses, one at a time, and were still out in under an hour. Server was prompt and courteous but not overly friendly. I suppose it's a matter of preference but for the investment I expect a more relaxed, elevated experience that allows for good conversation and enjoying the meal. On a positive note, we really enjoyed the actual food and the venue is incredibly well done.

Highly recommended for a splurge night in CB. Rachel, our server, was excellent. The Elk Tenderloin is amazing. This is a better experience than Wooden Nickel, to help settle that debate.

THIS is where you get steak in Crested Butte...period. I've been coming to CB for 30 years, and I've yet to have a better steak/food experience. Under new ownership, it's still like before. Super friendly servers. My wife loves the lamb chops (infused with flavor!) best I've ever tasted. She's picky and loves them. ALL steaks are amazing with some local and other high grade meats...depends on your mood. I got their locally sourced filet and it is my recommendation when you don't know what you want.

Everything was great! My husband and I both got a filet and both were delicious. Mushrooms and potatoes were so good too! The only thing we didn't care for was the creamed spinach because it was way too cheesy. If you want a nice dinner while in Crested Butte go here!

Shoe string fries on carpaccio was a big fail, but we were gracious......The raw $50 pork chop was inexcusable, and after throwing it back on the grill and offering to comp a glass of wine...ugh! For the claims of superiority...no! Not good enough! It was an awful dinner. And asking for a table instead of the bar due to back issues and being told NO at 530 pm.....and then seeing the restaurant only 2/3rds full while there and until we left.....NO, sorry. One of the worst restaurant experiences in a long time, high end or low end! $250 DINNER EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING!

The food and service were absolutely perfect. Nicest restaurant in Crested Butte!

This place was AMAZING! I had a fantastic Ribeye cooked Pittsburgh style and it was perfect. Ordered a baked potato as a side and it was more than two of us could eat!... And, they had a new bottle of Pappy Van Winkle.. and, of course, we all three tried it for the first time! ??

I had received multiple referrals from friends to try this place out. The restaurant was very accommodating in squeezing me and my son in (sat at the bar) after a scheduling snafu online. The food and service were both superb. Nice place with a nice high end atmosphere. Would both recommend, and return.

Thoroughly disappointed. Bought the tomahawk for my son and it was near medium rare, as requested, but somehow the outside of the steak was charcoal - like burned to the point of making it inedible. They did comp 50% off when we complained but it was still a $75 inedible steak. Service was very good though.

We had waited all year to come back for the wedge salad and steak, but were sadly disappointed. The salad was not the same and now is nothing special. The steak looked great but had zero taste. As if this was not bad enough, there is now a 6% tax for the “cost of living wage.” Are you kidding me? The manager was kind and apologized. She seemed embarrassed to be having this conversation and we felt bad for her. How ridiculous! The owners should be ashamed! Pay your staff more or raise your prices instead of penalizing your patrons. We will no longer eat here or Wooden Nickel where the same foolishness is happening.
