Veggie sandwich was everything I wanted and needed in my day. It was clearly designed by someone who loves vegetables! I ate here twice in a three day visit......... also had the biscuits and gravy.

Huevos rancheros and an All American breakfast for our late lunch. The side stack of pancakes had flurries of confectioner’s sugar dusting the crown. 3 serious pieces of bacon. Properly cooked eggs sunny side up. Down home good.

This place is the bomb! Great location in historic downtown CB. Great place for breakfast with hometown diner feel. Service was good but food and atmosphere were outstanding! Best biscuit I have ever eaten in my life! Definitely hit this place for breakfast if you are in the area!Parking: Parking is on Main Street and side streets only.

Wife and I had brunch here on Christmas Eve. Food was absolutely excellent. She had the chilaquiles on special and I had the haystack with a side of green chile. Wife said the chilaquiles were really good, and we like our chilaquiles and have them at a variety of places and at home. For me, the green chile is the best green chile I've ever had, and I'm not kidding. It is a veggie green chile that just has an incredible roasted green chile flavor that the waitress warned was extra spicy that day, and it was much to my delight. The biscuits were tremendous in that they were tasty and not overly dense and a little fluffy. The country gravy was top notch; thick, with great flavor. The green chile added to the Haystack took it over the top and was one of the best breakfasts I've had in 2023 and I eat more biscuit/open faced biscuit sandwiches smothered w/ gravy than my doctor would suggest. If you like green chile, GET THE GREEN CHILE. We wanted to go back and take a quart to go of the wonderful green stuff, but they were closed when we were leaving town.

The food was ok at best, about what you would expect in my opinion. However, I probably would’ve enjoyed it more if the Latina behind the counter wasn’t so extraordinarily rude to the point where my 8y/o was visibly uncomfortable and asking me why she was so upset. Perhaps she was having a bad day but that’s got little to do with me or my child. I wish I could’ve witnessed this exceptional customer service the reviews rave about but it just wasn’t there. We were told the food would take 25-30 min (a long time for a burrito) and we ended up waiting about an hour. It was my first and last time going. Hopefully they pull it together because the potential is there in such a location. I think the high reviews are mostly from travelers who aren’t worried about ever going back so that’s something to consider.
