Wish I could give more stars! Made a reservation for Valentine’s Day, but our day took a sudden chaotic turn an hour before our rez. In all the chaos I was so grateful with how communicative and accommodating the staff was, and our mess of a day was completely flipped around the second we stepped inside.
We were treated with such sincere kindness, the entire staff made us feel like we belonged. The food was incredible and the portions filling (I HATE going to a fancy restaurant and leaving hungry) and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a lovely dining experience in CB.
This was one of the most wonderful dining experiences I have had in my LIFE! The waitstaff was extremely accommodating- allowing us to split our delicious meals, and advising us on pairing the wines. Joels? and the other staff were joyful and attentive but their menu recommendations were spot on! The duck was amazing and dessert scrumptious! We enjoyed this restaurant so much - we will return to Crested Butte - just to go there AGAIN!
Absolutely phenomenal dining experience! From the moment we walked in, we were charmed by the adorable interior and warm, attentive service. The chef personally came out twice—first to present a complimentary amuse-bouche of red snapper (a lovely touch for all guests) and then again with a stunning potato and leek soup while ensuring my husband’s duck was cooked to perfection. That soup was velvety, rich, and had just the right pop of truffle—unforgettable.
The French wine selection was excellent, and our server’s recommendations were spot-on. For entrées, I had the filet mignon, and I was blown away by the attention to every single component on the plate. Too often, sides feel like an afterthought, but here, the mushrooms and cauliflower were bursting with flavor. My husband’s duck was paired with a savory foie gras bread pudding—absolutely insane in the best way possible.
This was easily one of the best French meals I’ve ever had. A 10/10 experience that I will return for again and again. If you’re in Crested Butte, don’t miss this gem!
Fantastic dinner, please try the potato leek soup! Service was amazing as well.
Wonderful! Michelin star type meal—served professionally, but without any pretentious conversation or attitude. High quality dishes and wines. We had reservation problem (clearly it must have been my fault) with our online reservation, but Yoel was very kind and helped me to correct everything over the phone. Because the restaurant is so small, you are not able to wait inside if you arrive early for your reservation, so bundle up if you think you'll be a few minutes early. It's best to show up promptly at the time of your reservation so you can come right in. You'll love it! Yoel ended up being our waiter. He's been with Soupcon for 15 years or so. Compliments to the chef and all!
Amazing little place. Outstanding food and service.
Excellent food. I had the short rib and my wife, the elk tenderloins. I am not much of a wine drinker but the sommelier provided pairing suggestions that were outstanding. Definitely will look for those wines in the future.

I love Soupcon. I love John. I love Joel. I love Sharni and Bob. My memories and experiences of this place are akin to those of my family dining room I grew up having cherished family gatherings in. There is no better dining experience to be had. John’s a pretty good cook. I can’t wait to see the crew again in January. And if Joel will call me back, maybe September too. See you soon.

We have visited this restaurant three times over the past 18 years, and each experience has been incredible. This most recent visit was particularly outstanding! The menu creative, fresh and exciting!! The wine pairings were phenomenal and explained in-depth.
Chef John Leonardi and his outstanding team personally presented many of the courses, adding a special touch to the evening. Our server, Shandie, was a highlight of the meal. Her professionalism, extensive knowledge, beautiful presentation, and delightful demeanor made our dining experience even more enjoyable. We had so much fun with her!
We cannot say enough good things about this restaurant, its incredible food, and its exceptional staff. Highly recommend it, and we will definitely be back the next time we're in CB!!
