Delicious as always! Great family- friendly restaurant. One of our “ must have” places to take family and friends to when visiting Crested Butte.
We love Slogar's and took our family when they were here visiting. It was a large group and we had a great dinner. We love the chicken but our son got ribs and said they were very good too. We always make a trip to Slogar's when we are in town.
OMG, I love this restaurant! My son lives in town, and knowing how much I love fried chicken, he brought me here for the first time. Everything was delicious, but unfortunately, I got full and couldn't finish. The meal came with the best fried chicken and creamed corn I've ever had. The other sides were terrific too. I could barely eat the delicious ice cream sandwich at the end, but somehow managed. BTW, for any vegetarians, there is a fantastic option as well. For as long as my son lives in CB, I will continue to dine at The Slogar!
Excellent service by server Martha and host Joey checking in often! Ribs and chicken superb job by Chef Elliot! Thanks Slogar!
We had the most amazing time! I think our server was Mary and shadowed by a returning server. Both were incredible!!!
As always, Slogar did not disappoint. We had the family style chicken and sides and it was amazing! Highly recommend! We were a party of 8 + a baby.
My daughter made reservations for my birthday in February. We had three adults and three children. Having been in the restaurant business for 39 years our family knows what good food is and good service is. We are from Texas. The prices were outrageous for what you got, the biscuits and mash potatoes were cold and the over all food taste was bland. Our waitress was horrendous and total lack of caring for what we needed. My daughter was treating me and when the bill came I paid in cash. $357.07 for average fried chicken and Sysco sides. The ice cream sandwich could have been from DQ but I like the DQ sandwich better. I have no idea how ANYONE could ever give this place 5 stars for anything. I have carried this receipt in my wallet long enough for most of the ink to fade away. It is time for me to forget this place but remember to NEVER recommend this place to anyone going to CB. At 75 you still have room to live and learn.
The Slogar provided catering for our rehearsal dinner and we couldn’t have been happier with their service and delivery! The food was phenomenal. One note - if you are having this meal delivered/catered - be mindful of order size. For a group of 25, we ended up having fried chicken for days - we probably had 30-40 pieces of chicken leftover. There was also a good bit of waste from the first course, unfortunately - while the fried chicken leftovers flew off the fridge shelves in the days after our dinner, the leftover cottage cheese and cole slaw did not. So - when placing a group order, be mindful of quantities!
If you’re in Crested Butte and looking for an incredible dining experience, Slogar is a must-visit! This charming restaurant serves dinner family-style, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.
Tonight, we enjoyed their freshly prepared fried chicken, which was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. The meal came with a variety of delicious sides, and the best part? The sides come with complimentary refills! We especially loved the rich and creamy creamed corn and the homemade biscuits, which were absolutely divine.
Slogar is a popular spot, and for good reason! They do get busy, so we highly recommend making reservations in advance. From the friendly service to the comforting, home-cooked flavors, everything about our experience was top-notch. We can’t wait to come back!
We hosted our college grandson and five of his friends for a delightful and delicious dinner at Slogar. They could not have been more pleased. Everything was amazing! Great evening!

Amazing food! Come hungry, the portion sizes are LARGE.
Just everything is right with this place! It's great food and the family style concept is unique in CB. Our server and the support service were obviously well-trained and dedicated to providing a great experience. Laid-back yet attentive.
We have eaten at The Slogar several times over the past 30+ years and have always found the food to be great, and last night was no exception. We reserved a table for our family skiing at CB several months ago and only have these few criticisms. Only three of us had signature drinks and my wife and grandchildren soft drinks so always expect to pay a lot for a bar tab but our tab for 4 adults and two children with included automatic gratuities was over $400 for fried chicken dinners! As usual the food and service were excellent but their prices have become exorbitant but I guess they figure anyone who can afford to take their family skiing will just expect to pay a fortune to have a nice meal out, but next trip to CB we will skip The Slogar. If you decide to eat ere I would suggest dining there early in your trip since we have about 10 pieces of chicken in our cooler to eat at home.
We unfortunately thought the price was really steep for what you got. They charged my 10 year old $49 for a side of chicken (which we did not want.) The service was very rushed. They took away my husband's plate mid-bite. I'm guessing they are trying to get as many people through as they can. But for a $500 tab, we should have been able to enjoy the meal.
GREAT CHICKEN! But other than that pretty average. For the price, you'd think there would be more elegant ambiance or better service but this place runs on reputation more than anything.
