Such a cute spot! Loved their seasonal flavors and vegan options. We were in town visiting and ended up coming here multiple days in a row after hikes. One day we need a hike early because my friend craved the ice cream so bad and wanted to get here before closing. Big fan!
Simple ice cream spot. Gets the job done.
Kid running the place looks about 16 and is doing her best. Hard to fault someone that young for not having decades of hospitality experience.
Ice cream's solid. Nothing fancy, nothing broken.
Here's the thing: ownership needs to step up. You can't put a teenager in charge and expect five-star execution. Give her some support, some training, maybe show up once in a while.
The foundation is there. The effort is there. The leadership? That's the missing piece.
Good ice cream held back by management that's probably counting money instead of mentoring staff.
Fix the support system and this place could be great instead of just decent.
Insane ice cream. Best salted caramel I've had in Colorado. They also have great size options.
Delicious ice cream and friendly service. Great selection and flavors and the kids loved it :)
Neat little space inside, and many different flavors to choose from. Some of flavors that we tried were good but a couple were just kind of so-so. I was disappointed in the mint flavor, didn't really taste very much like mint in my opinion. Overall I would recommend the place, do you expect a line when you come here though.
Really good ice cream and unique flavors
Very good ice cream & cookies
Great Ice Cream and creative fun flavors are the highlight at both locations. We visited 3 times during our week in CB, twice in town and once at the base of the mountain. We loved the ice cream, unfortunately the operation leaves so much to be desired.
At the location in town the young lady serving ice cream was by herself both times we visited (one of those was a Saturday night). While she was friendly she was clearly stressed and rushed both times, doing double duty of not only scooping ice cream but also having to run the point of sale and register which is 30 feet away from the ice cream station. Seriously?? Every time she serves a customer or group she has to walk across the store, get behind the register and charge customer. Then run back across the store and do it all over again. This makes for a painfully long experience. Please get this young lady some help or add a POS to the ice cream station.
We stopped in yesterday after skiing (4pm) at the shop at the base of the mountain excited to get some more ice cream and try their fresh made waffles. The woman working the store was not particularly chipper and was working the line by herself. There were 2 customers ahead of us when we walked in and it still took over 15 minutes just to get our order taken. As she was solely scooping ice cream and making elaborate milkshakes. There was actually another worker in the back who appeared to be finishing up her shift. As the line began to grow and eventually went to the front door she offered to stay and help but the woman refused it and so she left. Fifteen minutes or so after starting our order we received our two waffles. Unfortunately for us they were undercooked, doughy and inedible. I really wanted to say something, but there was no way we were gonna wait another 15 minutes and interrupting the long line for a refund just seemed like more of a headache and hassle than the $15 in waffles.
Overall super disappointing experiences that could have been avoided with proper staffing and some logistical adjustments. Not sure if ownership is too focused on low labor costs or just has a hard time staffing their shops. Nevertheless this issue is costing them severely in guest experiences. Hopefully they can get this issue resolved and perhaps look into why their waffles come out so raw.
a must if you're in crested butte!! love this place. Also tried the cookie sandwich and it was amazing.

Attempted to go get ice cream an hour before closing and employee was standing at the door and said very rudely we are closed without so much as a sorry for closing early or anything. We have been before and the ice cream is great but very unfriendly staff

Kids love the milkshakes as they are very innovative recipes. Pricey at about $15.00 per shake. Open hours seem to be a bit random as well. Worth it if they are open.

Friendly staff and delicious, locally-made ice cream. We came twice on our long weekend here to try more flavors. Little outdoor and indoor areas to enjoy your dessert.
Vegetarian options: Some vegan flavors too
Kid-friendliness: Bean bag chairs and colorful atmosphere. The staff was very kind to the kids
