We came in july 5th, a really busy time of the year for crested butte and oh my did our helper clarity handle the rush like a champ! she was always in top of things and was super kind. The ice cream is also homemade and super tasty. Will be recommending this place to all of our friends.

We really wanted to love this place but it came up way short. I had a plane jane shake with crushed Reese’s pieces in it. The milkshake was basically like drinking milk it was so thin. My husband’s was the same and he had a specialty milkshake. For $13-$15 per shake this is not worth it. My recommendation would be to get scoops of ice cream because it has good flavor but I wanted something that wasn’t so runny. We went right went they opened so it wasn’t the heat. Maybe others will have a better experience.

Tin Cup apparently sells Third Bowl ice cream which used to be good. The Mint Chip was the worst I’ve ever had. It had no mint flavor. The only good thing about it was that it had no added green food coloring. Otherwise it was blah.Edit: Based on the owners response, I should say that the shop itself is nice. But Mint Chip is my favorite ice cream so I usually get it whenever I do indulge ( which isn’t too often). I remember when Third Bowl had a store in Crested Butte. Their ice cream was really good. So maybe this time it was a bad batch of mint chip.I don’t live in Colorado but usually come out once a year. Crested Butte is a fantastic little town and I have enjoyed visiting the last several years. Maybe I’ll give it a go again next year when I come out. Apparently I will need to taste test it first as the owner said before I purchase. I changed my rating from 2 stars to 3.

Excellent service, prices, and flavors.There was one single person working. A bit busy, but she's really kind and welcoming.The prices are really low for the flavor and service IMO, the flavors are excellent. I tried the chocolate and the cookies and cream.
