This is without a doubt my favorite spot in Colorado. The views are amazing and the service is fantastic. The bar closes at 3 pm each day, so we typically make sure we arrive here from wherever we are on the mountain by 2:30. We grab a pretzel, bowl of chili or a hotdog from the walk up window then get a cocktail from Larry and Liz in the heated Yurt bar so we can enjoy the sun and people watching for an hour or so before heading home for the day. I HIGHLY recommend a Bloody Mary...
This was a great place to take a break, grab some beer and hot cocoa, and take it easy. We were able to sit at the bar and eat our sandwiches while listening to music and get some people watching done.The Umbrella Bar was also nice because it wasn't quite as busy as Paradise. There was ample seating inside and outside. And, it offers a great view of Mount Crested Butte!
What a great summertime view. Weather was warm and what a nice place to have a drink or food and enjoy the view at the same time. You can take the paved road around the back side of CB mountain and just keep going when it turns to dirt.
