Family owed and operated and wonderful, friendly staff. We were there on Thankgiving. Only thing on the menu was Thanksgiving dinner. It was a fantastic meal! We will definitely go again when we are back in town!
I'd say in a nutshell, hit or miss. Pretty busy on a Sunday, so we got seats at the bar promptly. The elk chili was pretty good, but it was $1.50 for like an 1/8th of a cup of cheese (I'd consider cheese a standard chili topper but anyways). They were sold out of a few things, so we tried the bison sirloin steak. Significantly underseasoned and pretty much almost raw throughout (asked for medium rare). I didn't bother sending it back as bison can be a bit fussy...
If you happen to be in the area, this is a MUST stop for food. We stayed in Cripple Creek 2 nights. The service is fast, friendly and make you feel like they're genuinely glad you're there. The food is fantastic! The burgers were actually some of the best I've tasted.
