5280 Wings and More

WOW! Eat this! WILL is so friendly and made the BEST double bacon cheeseburger. Straight forward. Crispy, juicy, flavorful. 11/10

I tried 5280 at Danico Brewing. Summary is food is sub par, read on for details.

Wait time: I am not exaggerating by saying our food took ~50 minutes to get. My concern is that we were not given proper expectations on how long it would take. The person running the truck said he was alone and said someone placed a large order in front of us. However, he told us it would be about 15 minutes for our order. Had we had a better expectation, we could have chosen to leave.

Food Quality:
-Wings- asked for two sauces Hot and Hot garlic. Guy working the truck didn’t say that was an issue. However, we only got one flavor which I assume was the hot garlic. By the time we got the food, it was late (8:10 or so) and I was not going to get up and make a fuss. Thing to note, they didn’t have ranch either, so my assumption is that these wings better be so good that dressing is not needed. The sauce as thicker than most buffalo wings, probably due to a high butter content. They tasted saltier than most and garlic was faint. Ranch would have helped.
-Fries- the fries tasted like store bought imitation season fried (I.e Arby’s/Jack In the Box season Fries) temp seamed to be colder than the rest of the food so assumed they were made before the wings were ready.
-Mac&Cheese- Mac was decent. Nothing over the top but nothing worth not wanting order again.

Overall. I think there are far better wings for the price and the wait. In the time I waited for these wings I could have ordered Wingstop or BWW from Grubhub to the brewery instead. I get the truck was understaffed but being cognizant of quality and time is key to a good experience.

Food looked and tasted insanely delicious. The man running the truck was really nice too and it came out fast, fresh, and well-prepared. Will definitely be coming back again I finished it and I’m already craving it

Try fixing your truck so that you don't emulate a coal roller, and even better, don't speed through a dual school and construction zone in order to run a red light like you did on GVR Blvd on 9/13/2024. I'll buy my food from trucks who respect the community more.

The food was amazing, the service amazing, & the atmosphere amazing. I got the Garlic Hot wings with fried okra and mac & cheese. Wings were covered in sauce okra was seasoned perfectly & the Mac & cheese hit the spot. Definitely coming back new favorite wing truck in Denver!
