Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Sloans Lake

First time at this draft house and again did not disappoint. I wish I could watch every movie at an Alamo. The theming on this one is scarce but the food and drinks are excellent.

Great local movie theater

Easily in the top 10 theaters I've been to in the US. I'm acutally looking for movies that are releasing, now, just so i can come back

Trying to book tickets with a gift card at this theater is the most frustrating experience. I've tried on three separate occasions, months apart, and every time the website tells me that there's an error with my payment information. When I eventually give up trying to make their website work and call, they tell me "oh, it's been a problem with our website for a long time". So you're telling me that you know that gift cards don't work in your website, you've known this for months, and yet you've done nothing about it? At least put a warning up on the website so I know not to waste my time rather than letting me get all the way to the end after I've put in all my information to give me a vague error message that makes it sound like it's my fault and simply tells me to "try again".

Always a friendly staff, good food (if a bit pricey) and great selection of drinks. Seats are not recliners, that would really be the only improvement this Alamo could make

This cinema superseded my expectations. It is a thoughtfully and beautifully decorated, clean, space both inside and outside of the theater. We loved the menu options as well how the food was delivered to us in our seats. The food and cocktails were beyond your typical theater standards but more like, quality restaurant standards. The pretzel and chicken tenders were delicious, everything was real and seemed to be made inhouse-super fresh, hot, clean and tasty. Now that I know what I can expect, I'd try less generic menu items next time. Great experience. We will surely be returning.

Always a good time!

I recently went to see Academy Award winning movie "No Other Land" at the Alamo Draft House-Sloans Lake. After the movie I received an email with a survey asking about my experience at the theater. I wrote a few brief comments about the somewhat stiff, non-recliner seating and challenges with parking. A couple days letter I received a personalized email from Charlie Fisher informing me that recliners may be installed there in the future and giving me tips on how to better handle parking in the future, such as how to take advantage of their free parking garage validation. It is rare to receive a personalized email these days, since most businesses don't reach out to customers with quality customer service. So even though my experience at Alamo Drafthouse was not perfect, I am extremely impressed by the swift and attentive communication I received from their management. I'm also grateful they chose to exhibit this controversial yet powerful movie when other theaters in town wouldn't touch it.

Good theater experience (screen, sound, and etiquette are all A+)

Before, I had complained about the kitchen, but in the past two months I have been coming back and had 0 problems, only good things to say! I'm updating my review to 5 stars because after visiting about 4 times nothing has gone wrong. Alamo is a great theater and I'm happy we have it here.

Perfect afternoon spot for a bargain movie and good food

Alamo Drafthouse is truly 1 unique kind of theater setup. It's nice to have food delivered right to you and being able to order in the same place. The seating is also comfortable here and watching movies between being able to eat at the same time is really fun. The food is pretty good as well. The buffalo cauliflower is really good. Even though I'm not strictly vegan it's still one of the best items on their menu. They have gotten rid of some of the other things that I really liked on their menu unfortunately. They used to have a spicy buffalo pizza but don't have that anymore. Their shakes are also really good.

This is my girlfriends and my go-to theater! You can't beat a place that serves food and drinks during the entire experience. It's also incredibly helpful that you can report loud guests anonymously using an order card.
