Calamari was overcooked. Lobster roll was terrible. Was looking forward to this place and very disappointed.

Shady place! 22% employee service fee, and all they do is cook the food? I tip servers well, you know, the people who actually wait on you and bring your food out? Pay your cooks a decent wage and don't add a ghost tip that you only mention after the card is ran. Ended up paying almost $19 for a shrimp Po boy. A few pieces of shrimp on a hoagie with slaw and fancy mayo. Definitely not a sandwich worth the $14 they list it as, let alone $19 after mandatory gratuity and some other tax. Definitely won't be coming here again.

If you read the menu, go ahead and add a tip of 20-30% for zero service as they will automatically charge you for it. Not worth it at all.

The lobster roll says $26 but comes out to almost $40 after some steep extra fees. It’s tiny and ok I guess. Change your recipe if it costs you that much to make it. It’s not that good.

I’ve been eating New England clam chowder all my life. I feel the menu should mention that their version has bacon in it. When I asked the server, upon seeing it, if it had pork in it, she replied, “No, don’t worry.”It was obviously filled with bacon from top to bottom. Servers should know what they’re serving. Fortunately, my husband eats pork so we just switched meals. But I won’t be back.

Good variety and decent prices for the value and quality of food. Enjoyed fish & chips, a seafood soup, and a beer, all from a couple of venues within the same ground floor location. Excellent for a group where each has a particular taste and price. All the staff were friendly. Worth a repeat visit.
And I thought California had some shady forced tip practices. The staff was kind enough to tell me after my credit card was processed that they charge an automatic 22% on top of the entire bill inclusive of tax and some other specialty fee. I don’t like dishonesty couched in withholding of relevant information until after they’ve taken your money. Never eating at this place again, and will warn other like-minded diners to avoid for this very reasons. Restaurants are getting pretty fing bold these days. Sad because food was decent and atmosphere of the Milk Market in general is very fun.

WATCH YOUR BILL!!! They back in a 22% tip automatically and some other 2% charge. It's a cool concept like a food court. But I was very upset that the person didn't tell our group that the tip was backed into the cost. That's pretty shady and not customer service-oriented. Also, it's a foodcourt-style place. They don't bring the food to you, you clear your own table, you have to clean your own table, so if you ask me 22% is steep for what service they provide.
They have a 22% surcharge for counter service - literally pay at the counter, get a buzzer, collect your own food. I'm not necessarily against that so much as I do still tend to tip a bit for counter BUT they don't tell you before you order only afterwards, when you are surprised when you order a $16 menu item they hand you the credit card reader with a display of $21+ and then if AND only if you have the wherewithal to think "huh, that's weird" do they explain the surcharge.

Great Pike Bowl, Fast service, friendly servers, and a cool public market location. It All starts with great rice! Love the crushed red hot Cheetos too!

The place is pretty. But they charge an automatic 22% tip. It seems excessive for a place where you have to order at the counter, ha no table service and you need to go pick up your food at a counter.
Love the food hall concept and aesthetic at Milk Market! I ordered the blackened mahi sandwich with a side of tots and it was super tasty! The service was great and yes, there was a surcharge of 22% for communal employee tips, but the server clarified you do not need to tip on top of that and it's 2023, that's not abnormal anymore. Recommend and will be back!

The Denver Milk Market is a great food hall, located right in downtown Denver. They have a great mix of restaurants and bars. It is decorated so cute. Unfortunately, I can't give a 5 star rating as we stopped for dinner around 8:00 and even though their hours show they are open until 9, most of the restaurants were closed so we ended up just getting pizza, since it was one of the few that was still open.
Po Boy is excellent!
