We ate at Ambler for restaurant week. Emily was a fantastic waitress! She provided great customer service. The philly cheesesteak eggrolls and burger were fantastic! Our steak was good (loved the chimichurri on top) but was definitely overcooked and the chocolate mousse was pretty bitter. Emily did comp us a round of drinks for the steak which was nice of her. Our cocktails were also tasty. The atmosphere was fun and vibey. We would definitely give them another try!

We’ve never been to Ambler and overall, we liked our time there. We went on Friday right when the doors opened.
2 Stars because of the bartender.
The Drinks- My go to spirit for an Old Fashioned is the Whistle Pig Rye 10yr since it makes an incredible Old Fashioned. Ambler’s price on this was higher than any other place I’ve had it at in Downtown Denver, coming in at $28-$30 which is absolutely crazy. Bartender made it very well though. The $5 happy hour drinks were good, but they are very small and you don’t feel like you’re getting any ‘happy hour’ deal at all.
Cheesesteak egg rolls- They were pretty good, but the corn threw me off.
Buffalo wings- These were the biggest wings I’ve ever had and they were really good! More sauce would’ve made it even better. I’ll be back to try them again.
* The Bartender(s)- There were two bartenders opening when we got there. The one dude was really engaging and answered some questions I had about the Whiskey, very personable and cool. He was doing preparation. The other dude had the personality of a rock. He just awkwardly stood there and you had to signal to him for another drink or you won’t get another drink. He made a hell of a drink but was very strange and we wondered how he got the job. Maybe he had an off day? Anyways, we will be back for the wings at a table, and not the bar.

Worst dining experience ever. It took 15 minutes to even be greeted. Then after finally putting in a drink and apps order, we waited another 20 minutes to get simple drinks like beers. After an hour of being ignored and still no apps, we decided to leave. I get that things can be behind, and maybe they were short staffed on a Saturday during resturant week, but someone, ANYONE could have come over and talked to us about what was happening. The manager on duty just stood over by the kitchen window seemingly doing nothing. I will never go back to this place.

AAAAWWWWFUL!!! My guess .. The only thing I could think was maybe they don’t serve certain people.
3 of us arrived for our 7pm reservation to eat for 5280 restaurant week. Was sat at the wrong table . Table for 7 when just 3 of us. Then was moved, ordered drinks and 3 appetizers. Only 2 of apps came by almost 8pm. My app came later. 8:15pm we were advised it would be an additional 20 minute wait for entrees, but they will discount us if we wanted to wait. The party of 7 people arrived 20 minutes after us . By 8:50 I asked the manager to give us our check for the drinks and apps . He advised our food was on its way out . We waited longer than we should have , then watched the table of 7 receive their order before us . Nightmare, worst experience ever . I’d like the GM or owner to call me or provide a way for me to call. Unacceptable .

Service was terrible. Drinks took extremely long time. Not only did they not take our dinner order until after appetizers were finished, it took 30 mins to get some orders after we asked. Some orders were not there after almost an hour. 5 out of 10 orders were wrong. Waitress never really seemed to kept track and seemed surprised when we asked about missing orders or long waits. No communication about kitchen problems. Felt they should have stopped seating tables. When we got there, it was almost empty at 6 but by 8 some at our table had no food. Steaks were either raw or hamburgers over cooked. Manager did attempt to make it right but still felt like we paid too much for our experience since it was a birthday celebration and make it a very bad experience.

I had a really disappointing experience here. We waited an extremely long time for our food, and after sitting there with no updates, we eventually just left after getting our appetizers because our food never came. What made the situation worse was the lack of management involvement. The server did apologize, which I appreciated, but no manager ever came over to address the issue or check on what was going on.
I understand that restaurants can get busy and mistakes happen, but communication and accountability go a long way. Unfortunately, this experience left a pretty bad impression.

Waited over an hour with no food. No warning from workers. Manager never checked in and made the server apologize for the bad service instead of doing it themselves.

Caroline was absolutely amazing! From the moment we sat down, she was attentive, fast, and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was incredible, and her service made the whole experience even better. She was so kind and took the time to talk with us for a while, which made us feel really welcomed and valued. Caroline is truly a delight — I would honestly come back again just for her! Highly recommend asking for her if you visit!

The food at Ambler is amazing! I had margaritas and the buffalo chicken wrap, and both were so good. For breakfast I tried the avocado toast and an açaí bowl, which were fresh, flavorful, and the perfect start to the day.
Caroline was the best! She was so kind, welcoming, and wonderful to chat with. Her service really made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The interior of Ambler is gorgeous! I sat at the bar and the service was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and fries and it was spicy, but delicious!

Bartender was amazing, the drinks and recommendations were so good. The Whisky selection is out of this world. The Philly Egg rolls were fantastic as well. Unfortunately, the bison burger and the Lamb Meatballs were well under seasoned and quite bland and odd.

We went to Ambler for their Valentine’s Day dinner event, and unfortunately it was a major disappointment. The only highlight of the evening was the vinyl DJ, who created a great atmosphere.
The event featured a prix fixe menu with just three entrée options, so we expected the kitchen to execute them well. However, neither steak was cooked properly, and the dessert was inedible.
We also added the wine tasting to accompany our meal, but no one explained the wines being served, and they did not pair well with the courses. It felt like the selections were chosen simply to move excess inventory rather than enhance the dining experience.
Overall, this was not the special Valentine’s experience we had hoped for.
