Quite honestly, my favorite coffee shop. I stop here at least 4-5 times a week. Incredibly friendly staff, cleanest & nicest bathrooms, best made drinks & pastries & the vibe… spectacular. My husband & I love to try out new coffee shops almost every weekend; it’s been our thing for years. :) We’ve been to dozens here in Denver & this is by far the best.I must comment about the pricing left on other reviews. Fun fact - Drinks at other shops are around the same price as Amethyst, BUT Amethyst’s includes tip. Other shops don’t include tip so you are actually paying the same or more at the end somewhere else, depending on your drink. I think people aren’t realizing when they are stating the pricing is “slightly higher”. The staff at Amethyst are paid an actual livable wage, so they don’t accept tips. They are truly an incredible business & group of people, with whom I always look forward to seeing. Y’all have created something special. :)

Small coffee shop with a unique atmosphere. The coffee selection is full of tasty options! Try them out!

Staff was very friendly. The coffee was excellent. Easy to get to from the Denver Art Museum. Very nice environment and reasonably priced.

Amazing little shop. Great atmosphere, affordable coffee with great quality. One of the best reasons to shop here is due to the fact they're socialist. As a member of the Party for Socialism and Liberation ( PSL ) , it was great to see memorabilia, propaganda, articles, and newspapers as well. Anytime I visit Denver I make sure to support the business to the best of my abilities within my time frame.

My fiance had their mint tea and it was delicious. Had just the right blend. The place is inviting and showcases alot of beautiful plants. Would highly recommend if in area.

Staying at the Art Hotel Denver (highly recommend) and walked a block to get coffee first thing on Sunday morning at Amethyst Coffee Broadway-was met with the rudest employee I’ve ever experienced. The demeanor was cold and disrespectful. I had been to a nearby coffee shop twice earlier on this stay in Denver and will be returning business there and wish I had gone to Roostercat Cafe to begin with. In addition, Amethyst Coffee’s hours say they open at 8:00 AM on Saturday. They were in fact not open at 8:05AM on the Saturday before this experience hence why they originally lost my business to a better and far more pleasant coffee competitor.

One of my favorite shops in Denver. Always great coffee & great staff. They’re friendly & make very consistently great coffee—and usually have 2-3 good options on espresso which I always appreciate. On top of that, I love their ethos. Tips/fare wages are built right into the pricing. I wish more shops did this. I worked in coffee for a few years & like any service job it can be a slog. So it’s nice to see places that are trying to make the job sustainable for their employees. They’ve got a dog-friendly patio & a good vibe inside or outside. A great third-wave coffee shop that does everything well.

Overpriced sour coffee. Rudely greeted by Barista saying they don’t allow pets although they checkmark as pet friendly. Once settled that my dog was a service animal the two girls behind the counter still had a hostile attitude. Easily one of the top 3 worst coffee shops in Denver.

I wanted to email this to the shop's management but couldn't find an email address for them. I love this coffee shop. I get high quality lattes consistently, which is a small thing that brings me a lot of joy. And those backed goods they have... so good. But the one thing I am blown away by every time I visit, that has nothing to do with breakfast, is your staff. Not only are they welcoming to me (paying customer), but they show such an incredible amount of compassion and professionalism to the unhoused folks that stop by.... it really makes me stop and observe because you don't see that kind of genuine kindness extended to that community very often. Thank you for creating such a beautiful place. I deeply appreciate being able to visit on my morning commute.

Nice lil coffee shop with a very sweet barista. They have delicious pastries as well- including cinnamon rolls and brioche’s that are so good! The vibe is overall chill with the background music and provides a safe space for anyone looking for a quite chill place to pass the time :)

There’s a small parking lot in front. The place is a bit quiet making it a nice study spot. The service was fast and friendly. The decor was beautiful. There were all gender single occupancy bathrooms. Cold brew was good.

I had high hopes for this place, as it was recommended to me by a few friends. This was the only coffee shop I have EVER been to without any sugar substitute sweetner (splenda, sweet n low, etc). I am someone who can't have sugar in their coffee due to medical reasons, but I love sweet coffee. Every coffee shop i ever been to (besides Amethyst) has at least splenda. I could put in my own, but when you pay $7 for a coffee, i think the sweetner should be included. Got a little sass from the barista when i asked for splenda, she replied "we only have ~natural~ sugar syrups here". I'm also a fan of Stevia, actually prefer it over Splenda, because it is an all natural sweeter. Amethyst - I think including stevia in you list of "only natural sweeteners" would be a great way to accommodate all sweet coffee lovers! Definitely was left with no options here.

Eager to spend some childless time at the art museum, I showed up far too early (but why doesn't the museum open earlier?). The interesting thing about this area of town is that nothing is open until 10, even the Mad Greens across the way. Even Cafe Gio.So if you want a coffee, you have to wander ... to Amethyst Coffee! I'd never been to Amethyst but the vibe was so chill and filled with plants. I ordered a latte and, I'll be honest, the sticker shock hit me hard. $8 for a latte? Seemed pricey. But there I was and there I would stay.Although $8 is a lot for a latte, the truth with coffee is that you get what you pay for, and this latte was every bit worth the $8 it cost. Smooth, creamy, caffeinated ... all of my favorite things. If you're not down with paying for craft coffee and experiencing the best that those little beans have to offer, I recommend skipping Amethyst. But if you appreciate delicious, smooth coffee, definitely stop by here (especially if you're early to the museum)!

This is one of THE best spots to grab coffee in Denver. I visit denver every year and the best part is watching the giant pothos plant takeover the place.Flat white, lightly sweet. Thats my go to order if you want something simple but great.
