Anise, Modern Vietnamese Eatery

We had a wonderful night at Anise! The pho was delicious, as was the salt and pepper shrimp! Long, the owner, is fun to chat with, and he makes awesome cocktails! We will definitely be back!

This restaurant was one of the most disappointing culinary experiences I can remember. The service was very poor. The wait person and the ancillary staff couldn't speak good English. They didn't know the menu and couldn't make recommendations. The food was marginal, the ambiance was cold and acoustics were poor. I can't recommend it and wouldn't come back if it were free.

Favorite restaurant in Denver! Laid back casual atmosphere with a nice bar area to watch sports and have tasty unique cocktails. I eat here often and I have never been disappointed! HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! I have been coming here for a few years and I’m not sure what changed in their policies but I ordered pho to go and when I got home saw that there was only about 2 bites of noodles in the bowl. This has never happened before so I figured it was an accident and called. Instead of offering to remedy this he basically called me a liar saying that there’s no way that could happen, well it did. I’m really disappointed in this as Anise used to be one of my favorite places to get Vietnamese food in denver, I paid almost $17 for this item and tipped over 20% (ON A TO GO ORDER!!).VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!

Beyond rude, we literally got kicked out.
We had to cancel our table because some members of our party couldn’t find anything to eat due to dietary restrictions.

We had only ordered sodas and some appetizers which I was happy to pay for and I did.

The sever, who I can only assume is the manager or owner, just kept saying “no your done, you’re out”

I tried to appease her a few times and explain the situation but she just wouldn’t listen and kicked us out.

Unless you want to be yelled at and treated poorly I would not come here, spring rolls were meh so I don’t think I missed anything anyway.

This type of behavior is unacceptable, did I they prefer someone getting sick or have an allergic reaction on the table?

Such a disappointment as this establishment has great reviews.

Delicious food, very attentive service, and reasonably priced. Cool plants and ample seating. I didn't take photos of my food because I was so hungry, but it was all lovely. I also appreciate that we got our own decanter of water. We had the crispy pork spring rolls, shrimp spring rolls, banh mi sandwich (5 spice) and chicken pho. All were very tasty.

The food here is great, the waiters are kind of up in your face, but other than that the food is amazing, very flavorful and pretty good portions! Would recommend the shrimp pho.

Amazing beef pho and the staff treats you like family!

Our experience at Anise was wonderful! We were celebrating a graduation and there was 6 of us. The service is very good, the food was incredible, and pricing was reasonable for Denver. We even had dessert. We will definitely be visiting them again. The only thing I wish is that there would have been some Vietnamese music playing to enlighten the atmosphere.

My go-to for pho. I have never had anything from here that wasn’t amazing. Staff is great, food is delicious, and I love their building layout.
