Shiro was amazing - we had the regular and the beef, our server/ chef was super lovely and friendly. Awesome art, playing Tigrinian music, good vibes and great prices. Will definetly come back, I won’t go to any other Ethiopian restaurant in Denver

The prices on the menu and the price that I was charged were different. Of course I was charged a higher price e that the menu price, the excuse they changed the prices. But didn't update the menu.
Very unprofessional to present one price and charge a higher price.
Secondly the bathroom was filthy. My shock & horror when I entered. Some bleach & clorox wipes would clean it quickly.

Food was incredibly flavorful and affordable! Reminds me of the Ethiopian food I grew up with in Washington, DC. I especially loved the honey wine, the spicy lamb stew (forgot the official name) and the misir wot. Has lots of vegetarian options and gluten-free injera. We parked for free in the evening on Ivy Street south of Colfax Ave.

ETA: last time we went, October 2024, they heard us come in and said they’d be a minute. We sat and waited with absolutely no one in the dining room but us while you could hear them chatting from somewhere in the back. After 20 minutes we got up and left. I’ll never go back.

Amazing food! Somewhat slow service, but food is worth it!!

Hands down the best Ethiopian food I’ve ever had. I lived in Denver and loved eating here and now when I come back it’s at the top of my list. Absolutely recommend. Ask for the mitmita spice, it brings the heat.

I ORDERED 3 MEAT COMBO THE LAMB AND BEEF WAS TOUGH AND TASTED OLD. THE SERVER FOR SOME REASON SHE ASKED ME 3 TIMES HOW MANY ORDERS I WANTED AND PLACED 3. I COMMU ICATED 1 ODER AND WHAT VEGGIS I WANTED SHE GAVE 1 PIECE OF POTATOE. I WANTED THIS FOOD SO BAD AND FOR THE FIRST TIME IN YEARS OF EATING ETHIOPIAN FOOD I HAVE TO SAY IT WAS HORRIABLE.
AND IM A TEAM PLAYER SO BE CAREFUL BECAUSE I JUST WASTED 22.00

This was horrible. 2.5 hours to get our food. Food was overly vinegary. The Injera was ice cold. Not going back.

3 stars because we did not get the food. (I reserve one star for actively bad food)

I called for takeout and the guy at the restaurant said 30 minutes. My bf showed up 35 minutes later and it was not ready. He waited 30 minutes AFTER arriving and they said they were still preparing it.

Hope to come back and try dining in, as all the other reviews look good. But would not recommend ordering takeout.

Also- I think the menu online is old as they do not offer kitfo.

Out of azifa. Food quality is not as good as it used to be. Came by once and closed because there was no food. Don't have credit card systems up and are ready for clients, but use some phone system. Hoping it gets better.

The food was okay. After the meal I went to the bathroom to wash my hands. I was disgusted to see about a dozen roaches there. My kids and I quickly left.
