Somali here and I gotta say this food was authentic. I ordered the sambuus as I was shopping at the Somali grocery store next door. The employees was very kind, great customer service. They made 4 fresh beef Sambuus for us and it was amazing -make sure to ask for the bisbaas (hot sauce), you can’t eat Somali food without the hot sauce. It was hands down one of the best I had, had a hint of coconut in it. 10/10 would order their Sambus again and excited to try other items on...
Small simple restaurant. I had wanted to try it for a long time and I finally did. Goat and rice were very tasty! Also really enjoyed the green sauce that came with it. I'll be back to try more. Definitely recommend it for curious foodies or anyone who wants to eat East African cuisine.
This is a small place with a few tables and an interesting menu. I had the goat which comes with rice or pasta and a small salad. When seated, I was given a ripe banana which was unexpected, but ripe and good. The goat was, as expected, on the bones and very good. They also have chicken and beef dishes. The rice was outstanding with small peas and bits of onion and bell pepper.
