Basil Doc's Pizza Florida and Holly St

[Edit, 2025] Used to be my favorite. Evening staff has been replaced and pizza is pretty sub-par now. Sloppy, soggy, and inconsistent. The rewards also quit working, and despite talking to them about it multiple times nothing ever changes.

My family has been coming here weekly for a year. Excellent classic pizza. Great pizza stand lunch vibes. Staff is friendly and always takes great care of us.

I've been looking for a way to contact someone other than the employees who don't seem to care, but couldn't find anything. So I'm updating my review.

I ordered a large veggie pizza and a salad. It cost me a pretty penny but the salad was big enough to share. The salad dressing is to die for. The pizza is also fantastic. I love a new york style crust.

Burned my palate every time. Would stand up inside to eat. Pizza is so delicious!!!

Cold pizza that had obviously been left out and not fresh at all, even though my order was ready and picked up within 15mins. Tasteless sauce and toppings. Cheese cold and hard. Bleh! Would not recommend. I got individual slices of pepperoni, sausage and green pepper, and bacon with goat cheese and fig sauce. Highly disappointed!

Sweet little place with big slices of pizza for a little over $5. Owner is a nice guy!

I ordered cinnamon breadsticks and got hard pizza crust with cinnamon sprinkled on it... Uneatable. Nearly cracked my tooth trying. Barely could lick the cinnamon off, and I triedreally hard!! Instead of telling me they didn't have it, they would rather serve trash... the pizza was mediocre too.

Ordered a stromboli with pepperoni, bacon, mushrooms. Cut it open to pepperoni and broccoli. Went back to have it corrected and came home cut open the new one to a calzone with pepperoni and sliced ham. It was good but not being able to get an order right twice especially while not busy I would not come back again.

Crappy, old, COLD pizza! Inedible , hard, cold cinnamon roll. We ordered 2 pizzas directly from Basil Docs, over the phone, after our 1st order thru DoorDash never came.
So, I drove over there just after we ordered ( they told us they’d be ready in 15 mins)-an 8 min drive. When I got there, they handed me what I assumed were our 2 fresh pizzas. One of the guys seemed uncertain if they were actually our pizzas so I checked & they were our order but they had NEVER made us the 2 fresh pizzas we ordered! I asked for more info & they said “oh! these must be the pizzas you ordered on DoorDash earlier!” REALLY??!! They had told us on the phone in a prior call that “someone picked up your order like 15 mins ago.” So, which one is it guys?! On top of that, we ordered cinnamon rolls (plural) and got ONE single cinnamon roll that was completely inedible & must have been sitting there all day. I didn’t have them re-make the pizzas b/c we had guests over that were starving & had been waiting on dinner for over 45 mins prior to re-ordering on the phone so we all waited over an hour and a half to eat & it was all just awful. So, never again for this restaurant. It’s too bad cuz it used to be really good. Maybe ownership changed?

Usually go elsewhere, wanted to give this a try. Ordered a pizza at 8pm (hour before close) via Square. Went to pick it up and they said they did not receive a notification of my order so they had to cook it quickly, even though they seemed to be mostly through the closing process. They got it out in 15ish minutes while I waited. Got home and it was the wrong pizza (it was some kind of vegetarian with three ingredients I can’t stand). I actually think the pizza is good quality, but it was obvious my order was forgotten and then rushed because the employees were trying to get home. Bummer.

This pizza is so good! It's old school. I was watching them beat up the dough. That's how you know it's good!! Five stars! I don't have any pictures but it's pizza and it's good.

We live in the neighborhood and decided to give this pizza a try. We ordered the Red Hawaiian Pizza. There was no red sauce. What kind of pizza has no sauce? Very disappointed. We will not be returning.
