Bigsby's Folly Craft Winery & Restaurant

Fun place to visit!

Bigby's Folly was the perfect venue for my company's happy hour reception! The space was the perfect size, the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was amazingly good, and the wine was phenomenal. Our organizer/person of contact, Cassie, was outstanding. She helped me pick the perfect menu, was available and responsive to changes, and checked-in several times during the event. This was our second company event at Bigsby, and we will be back for sure!

Cute little winery in the RiNo arts district. Outside patio, great for a fall evening. Fantastic wine selection, 30% of the wine making process is done on site and they have a private vineyard in California (we were told). Unique flavors and the bartender came up with his own cocktail recipes. Very reasonable prices during happy hour with the limited menu.

First the good: Charcuterie board was on point. The space was really pretty cool - converted warehouse. Nice blend of industrial/rustic with upscale touches.

The okay: cocktails were good but nothing to write home about.

The bad: Our waitress was neither friendly nor attentive. The Colorado white wine was god awful - should have known better! Im definitely no connoisseur or wine snob, but I try a few hundred wines per year and this was easily the worst in the last year or two.

Overall: Seems like a missed opportunity. With a friendlier waiter and wine options from third party vintners this could be a pretty sweet spot. The 3 wines I’ve had from Bigsby’s aren’t good and the cocktails are just average.

With some basic old world reds and whites along the lines of Vajra Barbera D’Alba, Fontaleoni Vernaccia etc… priced low enough not to alienate casual wine drinkers while pleasing the palates of customers with more discerning taste.

We attended the Fall Harvest Wine dinner and had an amazing evening. The venue is beautiful and the team did a fabulous job decorating for the event. The food and wine were spectacular and the service was impeccable. Best of all, the owner, Chad, sat down with us and we spoke with him for sometime. It’s clear that he’s passionate and talented at wine making but he’s also down to earth and not pretentious whatsoever as wine makers sometimes are. We look forward to the opening of new locations!

Great place for a private party. Just wish there was more seating outside. Other than that it would be 5 stars.

Great wine selection and loved the flatbread. The bartenders were very attentive

Food was ok. The chicken was a bit dry and the veggies it sat on were very overcooked. The real kicker was a surprise 5% additional charge on the bill. Then the credit card terminal still demanded a 20%+ tip! Rude! (It's fine to raise prices, not fine to hide extra charges)

Bigsby's Folly is a great spot for any occasion! My now husband and I recently held our wedding rehearsal dinner in one of the private event spaces at Bigsby's Folly and were very impressed by the atmosphere, the food, the wines, and the team at Bigsby's Folly. If you are thinking of having a private event at Bigsby's Folly, be sure to work with Cassie- she is fantastic! We couldn't ask for a better experience for us and our guests the night before our big day. Thank you Team Bigsby's Folly!

The wine was delicious, the atmosphere was great, food was incredible, and staff was friendly and helpful. The only downfall was we weren’t able bring wine home because we were traveling! Highly recommend!

Great atmosphere and staff! Wine selection was great and loved the flight options. It’s right next to the train station, which was convenient for us as we visiting town. We went twice on our trip!

We hosted our wedding reception here and it was perfect! Bigsby’s is such a gorgeous venue and has so much character, we didn’t need any decor ourselves! The food is delicious and their bar is fully stocked with everything you could ever want. Cassie was so amazing in helping us plan our event and for all the day of help and the entire staff there is so kind and helpful! We made the best choice going with Bigsby’s and now we get to visit our venue as patrons forever! Thanks so much again to the Bigsby’s staff, you all are amazing!

Good service, good wine selection but falls short of expectations.

Risotto was a touch undercooked and watery/under salted. Wild boar meatballs were good in theory but could not stand on their own without leaning too much on the sauce. Bruschetta lacked balance.

Manhattan cocktail was great but the signature Bananas foster old fashioned was a cinnamon bomb that overpowered any notes of banana.

Probably caught them on an off night, but had higher expectations due to the high rating on Google.

Very attentive front of house and friendly service. Would return for wine but would skip the small bites,
