Had an incredible time at Bittersweet last week and terribly sad they'll be closing. Wish I had stopped by sooner. No doubt I'll be dreaming about the deconstructed crab cake for years to come. My outdoor photos don't do justice to the gorgeous plates. Best of luck and I look forward to seeing what's next for chef Olaf!!

We had an amazing experience at Bittersweet. The food and wine pairings were amazing. Would highly recommend for folks looking for a delicious tasting menu. Our favorite dishes of the evening were the Lamb Chops with pistachios and the Braised Rabbit.

For Michelin prices you will be served items that sound amazing on the menu but are poorly executed. I still can’t get the bbq watermelon sashimi plate out of my mouth. Every dish was a miss and we felt rushed. Conceptually good, but executed poorly.

Lovely dinner, venue, service. Food was spectacular. Two of the three of us had the tasting menu. I had beet (not a typo) tartar, shrimp/grapefruit ceviche-like, maple leaf duck (out of this world) and fresh mint chocolate semifredo -sp) We were able to taste wines before we ordered (and we changed) so had excellent white and red (both French). Almost all the offered wines were available by the glass or the bottle. Recommendations were excellent. I will bring my spouse back on our trip next month.
Great food and service. Got a wine pairing as well.I recommend for a date night or a special occasion. A small basket of bread would have made it even greater, but it was still wonderful.
Came here mid-February and loved the menu, maybe besides my cake and shake.Wonderful environment, food, and staff made it a luxurious experience without feeling too stiff and still down to earth. Some nitpicks from me on the food result in the 4 star but still a great dining experience.Beef Wellington was definitely the highlight for me. It was simply amazing. The lobster bisque had an unfortunately dry lobster tail which may have been a result of bringing all second courses out at the same time. Also the foraged mushroom in the bisque was delicious but wished they served more than one small piece! The cake and shake was advertised as a carrot cake but didn't really taste like a traditional carrot cake. Harder cake with a dense frosting that wasn't a traditional cream cheese frosting ended up having it taste more akin to an overly sweet storebought cupcake rather than a carrot cake with a balance of spices and a sweet yet mildly savory cream cheese frosting.
New to the Denver Area and had a wonderful date night here. Jenny took care of us and walked us through our first coursing experience. From the beginning to the end her service as well as the other waitstaff was amazing. The food was absolutely divine, and had a lot of new experiences to offer even more experienced palates. My SO who is a picky eater and scared to eat anything too adventurous still found the courses to be enjoyable and loved the experience.Kudos to the chefs, the options for the course, plating, flavor, everything was top notch and worth the money spent.I will be recommending anyone looking to celebrate something or perhaps to dine a bit more upscale this restaurant and will be returning myself in the future.
I've done countless tasting menus from Wisconsin to Colorado, and sadly, Bittersweet was very disappointing. Upon arriving, we were bombarded to do the wine pairing, we told our waiter that we don't drink. Every time he walked buy he would ask us to get a glass of wine, and one time even suggested we just share a glass, that a shared glass would be fine. Now to the food.... every course was more disappointing than the last. Duck was poorly cooked, and potatoes were still hard. My apple dessert tasted like I was chewing on asprin. We left and ran through a drive thru.

Myself and a few friends came here for dinner over the weekend. We had never been here but reading the previous reviews it did not disappoint! The food and service was amazing. Our waitress was very polite and knowledgeable about each dish we were served. There isn't anything that we would change at all. We truly enjoyed everything they had to offer and I would definitely dine again if im in the area.
Parking: Parking lot space is limited. But plenty of street parking available

My friends and I loved this meal. The team was so kind and accommodating. The meal was delicious. We got the tasting menu, and everything was delicious. The orange cauliflower and lobster were the big standouts for me. Thank you for a lovely meal!

Their chef's tasting menu was absolutely amazing. The entire table loved everything they got. Very complex layers in every bite and very big portions for a chef's tasting menu. The cost per person was well worth the value. Great staff and general manager. Will definitely be back and be recommending to all my friends and family.

I was very impressed by this restaurant. From the beginning to the end everything was fantastic. I got a pinot noir from Portland that had a very fruity and pepperi, honestly I was not expecting a good wine but it surprised me. We got a bread that kind of a cookie with a scone flavor with a beautiful piece of herbal butter.- To start we got a "Foie-Li-Pop" which was a master piece, very well presented and good balance of flavors with the bread, the foie gras and the brûlée banana.- Then we got the "Peach in the Blanket", presentation and garnishing were perfect, there was a base of chopped shallots with peach with a little acidity in and some sweetness which taste like a ceviche. There was a side blackberry caviar.- We also tried the "Mushroom Tart", very beautiful. The tart looked it was baked and it was perfectly cooked, very flavorful and well executed.- For the main dish, we selected the "Char Siu Beef Short Rib". This was really well done, I felt the meat was melting in my mouth and definitely it was slow cooked with perfect seasoning and good taste. The green-beans were a bit under cooked but I don't know if that was the intention of the chef, but that was a very minor detail.- "Decadence by Design" was our first dessert. The ice was delicious, it felt we were eating condense milk in an ice cream. The croquette and the glaze peached were a perfect combination of flavors.- The last thing was "Peaches & Persimmon" it was a good dessert but our favorite was the "Decadence by Design".I will definitely would love to come back when I returned to Denver.Cheers
One of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time and we dine out a lot. An intimate atmosphere only made the food that much more enjoyable. The cocktails were hand crafted. They even made me a classic daiquiri which no one seems to be able to make anymore. Don't forget dessert. The Shirley Temple will make you dance in your seat.
Hidden gem in the middle of Wash Park. Food is creative and amazingly delicious. Perfect for summer evenings on the patio. Fantastic recommendations from the staff for food and drinks. Chef accommodates for all diets. A must visit.
We went for our second visit last night and it was great! I don’t know what artisanal cuisine is, but the meal here is so different from any place I have been. The flavors are pleasing and the presentation on the plate greatly enhances the experience. We also ordered the wine pairing and their choices were excellent! We really like the variety of wines with the meal. Going here is a stretch for our budget so we won’t be going often, but we will be back!!!
