We used to come here all the time. Now I remember why we stopped. The mussels are so bland! They used to have a creamy, delicious broth with sausage. Cuban and fries are good though. Service was great

Honestly just bummed since this local neighborhood spot has so much potential. Terrible service, bad overpriced food, dingy stale-beer smelling and sticky table environment. Please get a handle on the staff and food quality - from a local neighbor thst would love to support a local business.

We were genuinely excited to try this place. The online menu looked promising, and the photos gave the impression of a high-end, elevated dining experience. Unfortunately, the reality was far from that.

We waited 45 minutes for our food to arrive, and when it finally did, the disappointment just kept building. My friend ordered the Green Goddess salad with added chicken. What she got was a chopped salad with avocado and maybe a handful of greens. At $22 with the extra chicken, it was easily the most expensive lettuce we’ve ever had — especially for what felt like a side salad in an American-style dive bar.

My friend and I both ordered wings. Each plate came with 8 wings for $16, which would’ve been fine if they were actually good. Instead, they were barely coated in sauce and painfully dry — both the skin and the meat were tough and hard to chew. We also tried the Parmesan fries, which were soggy and bland. There were maybe three visible shreds of Parmesan, and the fries tasted more like vegetable oil than potato.

To top it off, it took another 20 minutes just to get someone to bring us the check. The staff didn’t seem particularly attentive or aware.

This spot might have potential based on looks, but the service and food execution really missed the mark. Definitely not worth the price or the wait.

It took 15 minutes to be seated and over an hour to get our food despite the restaurant being less than half full. Our appetizer came with our entree and the only food that was tolerable was the french fries. The Mac and cheese tasted like soapy watered down Alfredo and the oysters were the worst I’ve eaten. Also the beer was flat. 0/10, avoid at all costs

Why can't this be a decent neighborhood place?? It was so underwhelming. Chicken sandwich was impossible to eat and chicken was leathery. Floor was sticky. Service was good, but our server seemed miserable. It's such a prime location and such a disappointment. Won't be returning.

I’m disappointed to share that after helping Blackbird Public House and Ritual Public House secure funding for their business operations — including their most recent rounds on April 7 and May 1 — the owner, Garrett Ladd, has failed to pay the agreed-upon commission for advisory services rendered. The first fee was paid through his financial advisor, but Mr. Ladd has not responded to multiple attempts to resolve the outstanding balance directly. As a small business owner myself, I support and advocate for ethical partnerships and honoring business agreements. I would expect any local restaurant benefiting from community support and private funding to do the same. I sincerely hope this is addressed soon, and that this public message encourages fair resolution.

Such a fun find! We came for brunch and it was all delicious! There is a bottomless mimosa we cannot wait to come back for! The Blackbird sandwich and Morning After were both great!

Went on a slower day to enjoy a lunch date with my mom. Had the pleasure of being served by the new manager Jodie. She was delightful, timely, and did a great job at making sure we had everything we needed. Very funny too!! The food was delicious (Had the BBJ burger with fries and the French dip with roasted Brussel sprouts.) Jodie explained that there would be some new menu items so I can’t wait to go back and try them. All around a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

Jody is an absolute rock star! We had a phenomenal experience. Ordered muscles, wings, and drinks which all were perfect. Very busy night and good to see that level of energy!

Went here for brunch. I will say the cocktails are nice and fast. I think it’s to distract from everything else. It’s the slowest service I have ever experienced, even when the restaurant was so empty. We arrived at 10am with a reservation for 8 adults, 3 children. The table was set for 8 - no worries, easy fix. They did seem very confused though. They were quick to offer drinks - our entire party was not there yet (5/8 adults there on time or within 5m). After our party arrived (admittedly 15 & 20m late), it took another 20 minutes for them to come back around to the table. I need to reiterate - it was not busy. There were 2 other tables. There was, upon opening, I think 1 waitress, and the owner, who both were checking in. Around 11, I believe another waitress was added to staff. When the waitress checked in for drinks 20m after our last people arrived, we declared “awesome. We’re ready to order food” and placed more drink orders + food. The food took over an hour to come out. The drinks obviously came out rapidly as I believe it’s how they manage. At 45m we asked for a time estimate and were told we were the next ticket. At this point, there were 3 other groups in the restaurant. We are all very patient and nice, because over 1/2 of us have worked in the service industry, but y’all - come on. When the food came out, the salmon had multiple bones and scales, the children’s fruit cup had seeds in the cherries (we told the owner about this and he took the feedback very genially), and the food was generally not that good. Not awful, just very meh. It also came without any of the dressings, syrup, etc that were on the menu- we had to make an additional ask for that. Overall, for brunch, if you have excessive amounts of time for incredibly meh food, decent cocktails, and god awful service, give it a go.
