I met a friend for coffee and a slice of carrot cake, both of which were very good. There is a full bar (I'm currently not drinking), but my friend was taken care of just fine. I have been here before for brunch and everything I ordered was delicious. A nice quiet atmosphere during the daytime, and service is always top notch!

We came for a special event of local comedians. We tried to order three different times and the waitress kept forgetting to come back or check in after she was checking on if they had gf pizza. They didn’t..
The comedy was terrible..raunchy and not funny at all. It said it was appropriate for 18+ if definitely was not. It was women older 50 talking about their sex life and porn. We left totally disappointed.

The bartender was amazing! I really wanted oysters for a celebration and it was before they were available and she made it happen. Will be back!

Brian was absolutely wonderful. His knowledge of the menu helped my girl friend and I select items that we absolutely loved. Food was great and his service is unmatched.

The most disappointing meal I have had in a long time with the worst service I think I’ve ever had. To top it all off the food made my son and daughter sick. I used to love the Handle Bar and grill at this location back in the day. This is the first bad review I’ve ever written but I wanted to warn people.

This is one of those rare places that's extremely happy you walk in even when shoulder to shoulder. One of my groups had an event here and it was too notch service.

The first time my wife dined in. I had the French Dip a the wife had the fish and chips. We did not return for a couple of years thought it was ok. Then our friends recommend the pizza. We had it few times it was good until today. Crust was burnt! You would not know it to look at because it was covered with flour. Probably wouldn't have wrote a complaint, but we also got the fried chicken which was inedible nothing but burnt grease tasting breading the fires were just as bad. Won't be back anytime soon.
Update 12/26/25 lazy to cook after holiday ordered delivery. Inedible carboard fries tasteless chicken, forgot buffalo sauce. Bever again!

Great service... the host spent time speaking with us about the concept and food. The food was good... I had the Alfredo while my spouse had the pulled pork sandy. We will definitely be back for the pizza!

As two people who have worked in the service industry most of our lives, my partner and I don't leave bad reviews unwarranted, but this is one of the worst dining experiences we've had in Denver (both born and raised here).
We're big fans of Angelo's but wanted to try somewhere with a wider range of foods that still had oysters, and Blackbird had all day happy hour on Monday, so lunch there seemed perfect! It...was not.
-server was very nice, but got me what I assume was a boozy lemonade? When I ordered a hard tea that they had on tap
-she was going to replace my partners captain and coke with Jack Daniel's since she couldn't find captain. One is a rum, one is whiskey.
-none of our order was written down, which isn't terribly odd, but I ordered a dozen oysters and got muscles and fries instead. I let the server know, no biggie. She took the muscles back and then it took 20mins to get the oysters out after we'd waited 30mins for our starters and another 20 for the wrong order. Great quality oysters, but every one was FULL of bits of shell to the point where it was hard to eat them at all safely.
-despite all these issues, (even with the manager appearing to have been there) nothing on our bill was comped. Which we never ever expect or ask for, but considering the number of mistakes, even just the drink being taken off would've made sense. We ended up paying over $100, not including the 20% tip that we still gave regardless of our experience because we understand it's a tough industry.
On top of all this, my partner and I now have food poisoning a couple hours after eating here, without having eaten anywhere since lunch. Y'all... don't go here. It's not worth it.
Great place to hangout with family and friends.

Unfortunately not the best experience, especially for $30-40 a person.
The servers were nice people, but when it came to the food - especially the burgers - there were problems.
3 burgers of the burgers were wayyy undercooked - one was literally “cold” pink, like raw - when it was supposed to be almost well done. We couldn’t finish any of the burgers.
Other food we ordered was “adequate”, but nothing better you’d get from BWW or Chilis tbh.
We were also charged $9 for refills on our soft drinks, after being told it was free per refill
😕unfortunately not the best experience, at least for dining
