Service was odd, not quite professional or clear in communication. Server seemed nervous or anxious in handling the party of 7. Food was ok, ambience was nice

Let me start by saying this was on New Year’s Eve. Our reservation was for 6:45 PM. When we arrived, the hostess seemed scattered—she was seating walk-ins while several of us with reservations waited for assistance. Once seated, our server was attentive, but the pacing of the meal was disappointing. It took a long time for our food to arrive, and guests who were seated after us were served first. Our entrées even came out before our appetizers.

I sent back one of the entrées because the steak was cooked medium-rare instead of medium. The replacement dish was also served medium-rare. The visual of the undercooked beef made my mom nauseous, and she became sick when we got home. I on the other hand enjoyed my food. By the end of the meal, we had to rush through dessert just to make it to the 9 PM fireworks.

Our server did comp one of our meals, which he didn’t have to do and was very much appreciated. The $35 three-course meal was a great value, but overall the experience still felt disorganized for such a special evening. A visit during a slower day will most likely provide a much better experience.

Very good Latin flavored Southwest cuisine in a contemporary relaxed setting. Their signature Asada and Pork Chop plates were cooked to order and delicious. Shrimp/Lobster enchilada accompanying the Asada was excellent. Servers helped each other and were attentive. Great location on the newly renovated 16th Street promenade and very near to Union Station.

This is the least child friendly place I have ever attended. Food was fine but the approach of the staff with our children was terrible. Our kids were not making noise, crying or screaming. They weren’t bothering other customers. Our toddler occasionally (during the two hours we were there) walked around with a parent who kept her out of harms way and other people’s way. The staff advised us not to let her walk so between the adults we kept her outside while the rest of the family finished the meal. The last time we ate here we noticed there was an irritation with the kids, but this time it was crystal clear. We will not return.

Service was good, however, flavors were average for the tacos. Brussel Sprouts were excellent, margaritas were average. Overall, quality of food to price did not meet our expectations.
