Restaurant has a retro vibe of the previous diner. The salsa is delicious and fresh. Ordered fajitas and it was tasty, lots of onions and bell peppers. The dish served of the sides were a bit small, maybe use a bigger serving dish (I don't mean there was not enough food, the plate was to small and dripping on the side). It was my first time and plan on returning to try something else. The draft beer price was a bit high at $9.00 at dinner time, not sure if that's the usual pricing for the area/restaurant.
The chips are very salty. The salsa to runny.

Customer Service was pretty good however the prices make ya reconsider. Steak wasn't that great can tell it was frozen. Just an overall one time visit. After my experience, not be back.

Jayleen was very rude and ruined the experience for me frankly. I don’t expect the food to be the best in world but I have come over the years. Jayleen didn’t ask any questions. No thank you …nothing. I still left my usual 30% tip. After all these years an $20 for my meal I will not be returning. In a time where people can go anywhere I would caution servers like Jayleen.. lose the attitude and start with service. Major miss here .

I'm originally from Dallas, having moved to Denver 20 years ago. When I heard there was a Mexican food place named after my Texas' state flower, you bet I went to try the place out! What I didn't know was that it's a Denver institution... I have been irregularly a regular at Blue Bonnet for over 20 years now. It's just such a central and great place to meetup with friends for margs and chips. And, for my friends with celiac disease, they've never had a problem with the reliability of the extensive gluten-free menu. Heck, I order off that menu half the time. There's a great happy hour menu! For pricing, otherwise, it's a reasonable expectation for eating out, especially as large as the portions are. The staff is friendly and professional, have always been satisfied with the service, no matter how busy they get... and, they get busy! It's not quite the Tex-Mex I grew up with but, after all these years, it definitely tastes like home!
They've gotten pretty expensive but everything is still top notch!

The food wasn't the best. Will I go back. Probably not. We didn't think the taste was that great. The waitress wasn't up to our standards. We loved the guy that cleaned off the tables. I always give new things a try, and I can pass on this restaurant.

Service was great! Prices are a bit high. A simple bean burrito smothered in green chili (but looked like red chili) was $20. No sides were included. Seems quite high.

I've been to this restaurant a few times now, and it's consistently great. The service from start to finish is beyond friendly... I truly feel appreciated as a customer when I go there. It's the kind of service that more restaurants should learn how to mimic.
The food is excellent, offering large portions and delicious leftovers. They even give salsa in individual bowls for the chips, which was unique and appreciated.
I couldn't recommend this one more.

Oh gosh! Bad!! So bad.
Like we ordered, in 5 minutes a plate was in front of us and it tasted like it was just sitting in a corner before they put it out for us.
They got tiny baskets of chips just sitting out there on shelves, getting stale in the open air that they give you when you sit. That's how everything tasted. Lazy and bad.
