Unexpected and seriously delicious food. Full of just the right flavors and the portions are large. Must try are the Wontons in chili oil and hand pulled noodles. Ive been looking all over Denver for this style cuisine and I'm finally happy to say I've found it. A must visit! FYI- I discovered this place initially online as Little Chengdu and it still shows on certain maps under that name. Blue Ocean is the same location. Enjoy!

Very authentic fascinating experience. My night the chef was one man operation. Me took orders, hand prepared fresh noodles for our dishes on workstation near our table. The wanton ‘soup’ in chili oil was excellent, filling in steamed buns tasty, we had pork and sliced noodles and chicken with pulled noodles. Food was generous. Took some time, but look forward to sampling more of the menu in the future.

Come for the food, be blown away by the one-man show. The food is here is the best Chinese food I've had in Denver. The menu is authentic (they also have an "American" Chinese menu) and the flavors pop. The handmade noodles are phenomenal. Many Chinese restaurants use the same four sauces for every dish. Not at Blue Ocean. Each dish we had was distinct and packed with flavor. We had the dumplings, sauteed hand-pulled noodles, mushrooms with braised pork, seasonal vegetables, and beef chow fun. Everything was delicious. But beyond the food, I'm still in awe that one guy does everything - taking orders, cooking, cleaning. Yes, it takes a little long for service, but it really wasn't that bad. And he rolls out the dough for every order of noodles! Going to this restaurant is almost like wandering into a chef's home in China. He's all alone, but of course he's going to cook you everything you want! Highly recommended.

We had read a review in 5280 listing Blue Ocean has one of the best Chinese restaurants in Denver. I absolutely agree! Blue Ocean is the best Authentic Chinese restaurant in Denver! The food has very tasty sauces and the homemade noodles are very fresh and wonderful to any meal. The meats in the dishes are very tender. It is true that other reviewers have said you need to be patient because it is a one man show. The owner is amazing doing it all! His delectable foods are so worth the wait!

It's in a random strip mall, kinda in the middle of a office area, definitely gives you the hole in the wall vibe, with a very generic Chinese restaurant ambience, and your cashier or waiter is also your chef...... first time I came in this place I was like this can't be real, One man show ...... But I gotta say the man executes it flawlessly...... He greets you ,takes your order and goes to the kitchen.... Knife shave noodle is a really popular Chinese noodle soup dish, and this man makes it in front of you, very nice texture and the noodles with great flavor on the broth my favorite thing here hands-down....overall very awesome Szechuan cuisine.......will definitely go back and try everything else on menu!!!!!! If you like spice.......highly recommended

The best hand pulled noddles in Colorado. Super authentic! Expect to wait because it’s made from the scratch. But 100% worth it!!

The longest dining experience I’ve ever had. Did we mind? Absolutely not. It was also one of the best meals I’ve ever had. We went during a busy time and the food was seriously amazing. Just be prepared for an experience. I’m talking 2 - 3 hours if you go during peak time however that was a’okay considering it’s one man operating an incredible restaurant with delicious hand made noodles! And made to order! Our 4 year old handled it well and we had food most of the time during that period as well. Not pictured are the dumplings, Beijing Pork and egg rolls. We went for the noodles mainly, and left extremely happy. Will definitely be back!

I'm speech less! Yes, extremely rare! This one man operation & hand pulled, hand made noodle has managed to keep the dining room open! Word of encouragement, if you own any type of business. Close your doors for 3-4 hours and make a mandatory meeting at this place! I can't speak on the authenticity of the food, but on par with anything I've had. If your not patient or feel entitled to superior service, just stay away or go for a humbling experience. Don't mind the reviews!

Absolutely amazing. We have been wanting to try Little Chengdu/Blue Ocean since we heard about it, and now I wish we didn't wait. We ordered to go over the phone (I had questions so didn't want to order online) and it took about 45 minutes, which we were expecting. It was a big order and everything was made from scratch. We ordered the dumplings, Lanzhou hand pulled noodles (which is a soup with a delicious broth), wonton soup in chili oil (which is not a soup but handmade wontons), sauteed hand pulled beef noodles, pork in garlic sauce, and szechuan beef. I can't pick a favorite as everything was awesome. I'd go back weekly if I could. I know the food can take awhile, but if you can order at less busy times or have the time to wait, it's 100% worth it. Also, the guy was helpful on the phone and pleasant at pickup.

Amazing hand pulled noodles. Please be patient, as the chef can be running everything depending on the day. It's worth the wait. I recommend a dash of sweet vinegar and chili for this soup. We've been back akready.

The food was really good. It tasted very authentic. I went during off peak hours. So the food came out very quickly

Absolutely great food and he made everything himself on the spot including making your noodle from a dough. Lookout for that.. My fav is Lan Zhou Noodle soup, fried 5 spiced bao and knife cut sautéed noodle. Yes, a one man show, so patience is needed. I grabbed tea, water, chopstick, to go boxes from the condiments if I need to and he was ok with that. He’s always smiling and running in and out of kitchen, taking orders, cashiering, to go orders, check on customers. I did have an urge to help lol. Some reviewed that he overcharged, but he actually undercharged me and I have to tell him. The dishes are not cheap because of the spice and the work he has to do so don’t expect typical price like sweet sour chicken or Mongolian beef those kinda American Chinese food.

DO NOT GO HERE. Absolutely the worst Chinese takeout I've ever had. I ordered the teriyaki beef and got about 20% beef and 80% onions. I ordered the chicken lo mein and got about 5% chicken and 95% noodles. The best thing I can say about this place is their rice is actually rice. Overpriced and underwhelming.

This maybe the only place in greater Denver area that does Chinese hand pulled and hand sliced noodles.Had stir fried hand sliced noodle with chilli oil and lanzhou noddle soup. Both were superb and highlighted the fresh made noodle textures. Ask for the fried noodle spicy. Soup was a light broth, unlike the usual heavy meaty beefy broth that can be over powering. But its heavy on cilantro in case you dont like cilantro.Yes, he is a one man show, taking orders, pulling noodles, cooking. And he has togo app orders. Pretty amazing to see how he does it. It does take time, but he gets it done. So, dont come in a hurry. Think of a European dining experience, it’s not fast. For reference: There was 1 table before us, and some togo orders. Our noodles for 2 dinner took about an hour from arrival to leaving. The people who left bad reviews. Are you here for food or service? Food is 5 star. Service is good, just slow, the guy is really nice. If you took time to leave bad reviews, i assume you took time to read them as well and know he is a one man show.Come for the food, it fits in the slow food movement crowd, not the i want it now crowd. You wont be disappointed, oh and order from the Chinese menu ?

You absolutely have to try the knife shaved noodle soup and spicy green and white chilli noodles! Soooo good! Their knife shaved noodle is the definition of comfort food. They're hand made noodles, so fresh! Stick to ordering from the Chinese menu (which is unfortunately not available on Uber eats when you try to order from this place). Again, this is a one man show so be patient while you wait for your food when you dine in. We placed a pick up order and our meal was ready in less than 25 mins. Portion size is huge! I will keep coming back for more! Love this place!
