Had a fantastic time at Brutø for a chef tasting to celebrate our wedding anniversary! Each course was wonderful and built perfectly on the course before it. Just masterful frankly, from the flavor combinations to the service. Each staff member was so friendly and had great vibes. Perfect portions across the full meal, my husband and I both left full with lots to discuss between the menu and the combined mixed bev pairings.Extremely impressive attention to detail and mindfulness...
This was, on the whole, an excellent experience. Lovely inventive food, the drink pairing were a definite highlight (maybe a little heavy on the sake for the wine pairing), and the service was excellent and very personable. However, be prepared to pay. I've eaten everywhere from the French Laundry to Noma and Guy Savoy, and this competed for price with Michelin 3 Star restaurants, which I just wasn't really expecting. Yes its labeled so I should have known, but man...$800+...
We went here to celebrate my husband’s birthday and thought the food and service was excellent. We read all the mixed reviews (Some loved it others hated it). We did not find any of the food salty nor the amount of food to be small. I would absolutely recommend. We sat at one of the 2 intimate tables versus the chefs table - we had requested this and were very pleased with the table.
