Super cool spot for a nice dinner. Priyanka was a wonderful waitress who knew both the entire menu very well with great recommendations, and also the history of this awesome spot. Definitely worth a visit! We all loved the buffalo prime rib and the apple pie 10/10

By far the worst dining experience I've had in a long time. I've been here before so thought I knew what to expect. Started with being seated in a bistro size table for two in an odd corner walkway when there were other nicer tables we could have been seated at, should have complained but thought oh well. Waitress was nice but food was so incredibly slow an hour and a half in we finally got our entrees that were extremely overcooked. After several minutes had to go find the waitress regarding our meals. Ended up paying almost $100 for mediocre appetizers, non alcoholic beverages, and salads. If this review hasn't made you decided not to come here say no to soup or salad as it's $7.50 each and certainly not worth it. This used to be a wonderful historic place with excellent food and service, not today.

Went here for our 4 year anniversary. The service was great i think Sarah was our server. We got “the steak for two”. The steak was okay, it was charcoal on the outside but the inside was well cooked. The calamari special and tomato vegetable soup with shrimp in it were our favorite part. Next time i would probably try the single entrees. After our meal we went upstairs for a cocktail at the bar and talked to Patrick for over an hour. He shared many historical stories about the place and told us about some of the rare animals. He even told us some ghost stories. Those drinks at the bar after our meal listening to him was the highlight of our night!

The restaurant's history and ambience are great. The food is average - way too expensive.Had a combo of elk and buffalo - both were cold.Service didn't really try hard. There are definitely better steakhouses for a better price.

Overrated for the price. The location and setup is pretty cool, I will give it that. The food for the price, however, is a huge miss. I had the "blackened" bison and they absolutely ruined the cut of meat by slathering oily seasoning on it. Additionally I am fairly certain the vegetables were microwaved. Again slathered in butter and not prepared to a quality level you would expect for somewhere approaching and exceeding $60 per plate. Then there's the service. Our waitress did well and was prompt, however the rest of the service was pushy and we felt distinctly pressured to rush and leave. Every time we paused our meal for some conversation someone was hovering over us immediately asking if we wanted a box for our food, this happened as early as within 30 minutes of us sitting down and within 10 minutes of receiving our food.Overall for the price and atmosphere there are far better establishments to patronize in the Denver Metro.

It is a must (you must go) a living museum. A way to get to know Boston. The food is very different from other cities in the USA. The elk does the best.

They accommodated our very large party (15) for my husband’s 60th birthday with grace and efficacy. The food was great. Everyone’s plates came out at the same time. Everyone’s order was correct and tasty! We had 4 gluten-free members of our party, the appetizers are mostly fried so they couldn’t eat those but almost every dinner option was GF. Wonderful!

A nostalgic dinner from the late 1800's and one you taste their bison , you'll understand how they have survived over a century. Delicious plates, fair prices and wonderful staff. This is my wife and I's new favorite date night. There's so much history and value in the place, it's a great atmosphere for a fun meal with a thousand things to see inside!
