Took my friend and her kids to lunch here when I was visiting from out of town. Fast service, great food and our waitress was incredibly friendly and kind! Highly recommend. If you have kids, it's a great stop before or after a tour at the Hammond's Candy Factory.

Coldest weekend of the year, was craving a chicken fried steak. It was a long weekend on MLK day, so I went to try Butcher Block since they were open.It was pretty empty when I went in, I think I was in and out in less than 30 minutes - which was perfect since I was going for a quick bite solo.Restaurant was cozy. Waitress was very welcoming and attentive. Chicken fried steak hit the spot, well seasoned, not too salty. Definitely will be back next time I am craving some diner food done right.

This was the 3rd time I visited this little dinner. I grew up on small town dinners food, and this is a gem for sure. The grilled cheese with ham....OMG and the fries......ooo lordy. The bacon cheese burger, cottage cheese, omelets, and hashbrowns.... man, this place really hit the spot. Lovely staff, quick service, and everyone is so friendly. It's a local favorite for sure!
