The food and service were excellent. We had the mezze platter, butternut squash salad, salmon, and the pasta with lamb ragu. They were all very good and four of us had leftovers. The bartender made a virgin margarita that was excellent.
The menu was somewhat limited. I think it is a great place for lunch. I wouldn't recommend it for dinner. It would need more substantial entree choices. What we did order, was very tasty and well prepared. My butternut squash soup was relishes, the portion more than ample. My 1/2 portion of cavatelli, was delicious. Happy half portion was offered, so I could enjoy the soup as well. My guests liked what they ordered too. They both ordered the burger, eliminating ingredients...
This was my first visit to The Ponti. Service was very good. I was disappointed that the Tempeh sandwich was not that close in taste to a Reuben sandwich as it was advertised. I am a vegetarian and was looking forward to having it. The tempeh pieces were thick and not layered as corned beef would be and not enough sauerkraut as well. The russian dressing was also bland. I did enjoy the bread pudding dessert and brut rose' sparkling wine.
