This was a very pleasant meal with excellent food and well-crafted cocktails. The outdoor seating area was quiet (indoors seemed quiet as well) and on a Sunday evening there was minimal road activity to interfere. Service was good in some ways: knowledgeable and convivial waitstaff and an excellent bartender. However there was an inexplicable delay in our receiving our drink orders and appetizers. After that, service was prompt and the rhythm of the meal was just fine.

A food lover's dream: spacious, comfortable Italian restaurant with plenty of parking, low noise levels, good cocktails and wine--and delicious food. The flatiron steak was cooked precisely to order. Excellent sides, including an authentic-tasting risotto and perfectly sauteed spinach. Even the espresso was a standout. The restaurant is close to two good Denver-area theaters, the Vintage and the John Hand. Service is prompt and efficient, and Cafe Mercato is great for pre-theater dining.

Mercator has long been our go-to Lowry restaurant for both a casual drink & appetizer or a full dinner. Last night, with visiting friends was out standing. Food, wine selection, ambiance and service. Plus, quiet enough for our group of 4 to talk!!

We come back again and again because the consistency of good food and a happy experience is always present. We appreciate the family feel to this place and are grateful to be able to eat here. Lovely experience in the corner of the dining room with six people. No problem, conversing with each other. Our waiter Carlo was very attentive , helpful and patient with us.! My husband and I come here frequently, but usually sit at the bar as we are locals. However, sitting in the dining room with friends , not from the neighborhood, was very pleasant! Everyone enjoyed it . And would love to come back and try different things.

DISAPPOINTING. We have dines here about half a dozen times and each time it has not been as good as the time before. Last night was the last shot. First, I will say that we arrived prior to our reservations and had a glass of wine at the bar. Service at the bar was great. But, the table service was extremely slow. Two of us ordered one of the specials and the two plates were noticeably different in portion sizes and one had cheese, the other did not. When we let the waiter know we were told it was done by weigh and they were the same...definitely not. To top it off...the risotto was barely warm and the lamb was not even warm. It was cold...cooked, but just cold, and overly salty. It was just so disappointing to see what could be a neighborhood gem way under perform. We will not be back to Cafe Mercato...but, we will continue to go to their sister restaurant, Locanda Del Borgo...the service and food there is always outstanding. Not sure how two places could be polar opposites. But, definitely recommend that folks go to Locanda Del Borgo and not Cafe Mercato.

Great experience overall. The food overall is excellent, well prepared with great flavor. I usually get the chicken marsala, which is great except the potatoes are typically a bit overdone, with some burnt areas. The lentil soup is very good, although a bit over-salted. We also tried a special of past with a beef and pork ragu which was very good. Just some tweaks to be made to get a five star rating from us, but still well worth a visit (and return visits from us).

The food and service was excellent. I rated the noise level as quiet because we sat outside on the patio where there are no speakers. Inside the noise level was high due to some folks at the bar and the music which was up too loud.

Cafe Mercato I always a delight. The food is spectacular. The service is great. The host is always warm, friendly, and accommodating. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the amazing quality of food. I'm always satisfied every time I go. I would highly recommend!!

The air conditioning was not working when we ate there. They really should have told us that when we entered the restaurant. It was oppressively hot and we couldn't tolerate it and had to get our food to go. The server never came back to refill ice water, which Was essential because it was so hot there. Overall, it was a terrible experience. We have eaten there many times and have always enjoyed it and had a positive experience. It was not the case this time.
