We had a holiday dinner with extended family and the experience was delightful from start to finish. Staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. The food was delicious (lamb risotto was a standout). Ambiance was just lively enough to be festive, but quiet enough for the large table of 7 to talk comfortably. This is the fifth time eating at Café Mercado and it's proven to be consistently excellent food. For an elegant plate, the triple grilled fish or bouillabaisse are tasty. The service is always personable, friendly and fun. Two negatives: I know music is highly subjective but I found it louder than I liked and not pretty. Usually restaurants give a little treat for birthdays; not Cafe Mercado.

As always the food was excellent and the service so attentive. We watch my brother and sister-in-law who were visiting from Pennsylvania and they said it was the best meal of their week long vacation in Colorado. We have also celebrated birthdays here and always appreciated the creative and delicious food and fine service as well as delightful ambience.
