Goodness. Not only does this place lack good customer service, but it lacks delicious food & drinks and is in need of a huge makeover. The last two times, I have been (many months between visits because I swore I wouldn’t go back) my order was wrong and the drinks tasted awful. Today my son’s apple turnover tasted like it was baked in the oven with the goat cheese croissant. (Hoping for that and not the mold it smelled like). A huge waste of money this morning as I threw everything away confident they couldn’t make it right.

Absolutely the worst customer service experience I’ve had with a bakery. I ordered 2 dozen cupcakes (12 chocolate, 12 vanilla) for my son’s birthday classroom celebration — placed the order in-store, on their website, spoke with the manager, and even called the morning of pickup. Despite all that, they only gave us ONE dozen. When I went back, they were out of what I ordered and shoved a box of messy, thrown-together red velvet cupcakes at me instead (see photo).
The mistakes would have been frustrating enough, but the staff’s attitude made it so much worse. At every step, they were confused, dismissive, and tried to blame ME for “ordering through the wrong system” — even though it was their official website. One employee even snapped at me on the phone instead of apologizing. No accountability, no professionalism, no care for the customer experience.
Cake Crumbs advertises custom orders but clearly cannot handle them. If you value good communication, professionalism, or simply getting what you paid for, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

Can we please work on timing here? I’ve come here for 17 years, over the last 2 it’s been rough. Ordering anything takes much too long - it’s not for lack of trying, it seems like the male owner is too unorganized and systems are not in place for the regular change in staff.

I purchased my items mid afternoon unfortunately the cupcakes were dry and lacked freshness.
Sorry but do not bother with purchasing cupcakes here. They’re pricey and inedible. Absolutely, bar none, the worst cupcakes ever. Dry cake and nearly impossible to accurately describe the frosting but suffice to say awful.

Very disappointed. We ordered a gender reveal pup cake, and we confirmed over the phone with the owner and in-person that the filling between layers would have the gender color. We had a group of our family and friends in from out of town at the gender reveal event, and it was a huge embarrassment. There was no colored filling and “surprise” on the top of the cake was misspelled.
We used to love this bakery, but this was a very disappointing experience for such an important event.
