I just got a Black Forest cake from them for my husband’s birthday and it was sooooooo good! I loved that there was some of the good thick frosting in there as well as the whippy kind and the cherries and cake were delicious. They were also so incredibly nice while interacting with them and we also tried some of their pastries on display that were equally delicious! 10/10!

**People make mistakes and that’s fine, but the correct solution to those mistakes is what makes a good customer service. I appreciate Cake Sugar World, since my review, I’ve been refunded. For that, I’m increasing my review from 1 to 3 stars.
Original review: I ordered a cake made out of cupcakes after confirming by phone that, while they hadn’t done one before, they could make it. I emailed a reference photo and specifically requested that the bike design be red instead of blue.
When I arrived, the cake did not look like what I requested. When I asked for a solution, I was told, “too bad, we don’t do refunds. We’ll just donate it to a church.” I was also told the frosting had been sprayed “to make it look realistic.” In my opinion, the result looked messy, dirty, and unprofessional—certainly not worth the $220 price.
Stay away. This is the worst customer service ever!

We ordered their Tres Leches sheet cakes, and they were absolutely perfect—moist, flavorful, and a huge hit with our guests. I can not write enough good things about Cake Sugar World. We were staying over an hour away for my son's first birthday, the bakery cancelled our order the morning of his birthday. In a panic a family member stopped by and explained the situation, the Cake Sugar World staff jumped into action creating a custom birthday cake on the spot. It was beautiful and beyond delicious. I can not thank them enough for saving the day!!

I recently discovered this gem in my hood, and I am hooked. Absolutely delish pastries and customer service that cannot be topped. After giving the place a try, I ordered the mini pastries for my daughter's college graduation party. They were gobbled up instantaneously. And it's amazing that after only being in there a few times, they welcome me by name. It's like Cheers, only for sugar lovers. I am officially a dedicated fan!

As a wedding cake vendor myself, I had to high expectations and Kenlys and her team exceeded them. They were also kind enough to accommodate a last-minute request for some guests with dietary restrictions, so grateful. Do yourself a favor and order some milhojas and tres leches shooters for your wedding or event, your guests will thank you!

I discovered Cake Sugar completely randomly - I use the Wellshire Post Office. Anyway, I now go there every week when I get my mail. The assortment of excellent treats is amazing; the friendly service is warm and welcoming; and prices are super reasonable; and, try their coffee - it's great!

So funny they’re saying we were rude, disruptive and insulting (blatant lies, btw) when they were the ones that cussed us out because we said we didn’t like the cake and they can’t take criticism. You can see in the responses to other reviews that the owner has no professionalism and is incapable of taking responsibility for their mistakes. I came here to add that I used to be a frequent customer because their small pastries are delicious. That was until I placed an order for a cake and it was nothing like I expected. It was bland, with a sand-like texture, and the frosting got stuck to the box so badly that the cake just started falling apart in spite of my careful efforts to get it out of the box. It really seems like they used marshmallow cream instead of a proper frosting. Not to mention, their stuff is ridiculously overpriced. To top it all off, when we called to express our dissatisfaction, the person who answered the phone barely let us get a single word in, was disgustingly rude and defensive, and even cussed us out in the end. They will of course try to deny this, but I have no reason to lie. Stay away from these people if you care at all about your money and dignity. So pathetic.
