I came in here a few days before Christmas on the hunt for a chocolate cake for a last minute birthday. They had a cake already made and were able to write on it for me and was decently priced. The birthday girl LOVED the cake and said she doesn't normally like icing but loved theirs. So thankful to find a cake last minute. Highly recommend.

I was craving Holiday cookies and hit the jackpot with Karen's Holiday sugar cookies. They tasted so yummy and super cute. The front desk clerk was so kind and tended to us right away. I felt great buying from this shop other then from King Soopers. Support your local business.

My daughter has always requested a confetti cake with confetti icing, since she was a toddler. I always make her a box cake and call it hood. This year she turned 40 l, so I decided to get a real cake from a bakery. I called at least 5 places, communicated by email with one place, and they all flaked on me. I was two days away from the party and did not have a cake. I called Cakes by Karen on Colorado Blvd. and they totally came through for me! I sent them a pic of what I had in mind and they said no problem, they would have it ready. I picked it up and it was beautiful. It was exactly what I had envisioned. It not only looked great it was delicious. This will fe my go to cane place from now on!!! Not to mention how sweet and kind everyone is!

Quickly picked up some ready made cupcakes for a coworkers birthday and they were delicious!
A coworker of mine was getting moved around to a different department in my job, so I wanted to get her something special last minute to celebrate her transfer. I called up a three other places and they gave me outrageous prices and couldn't fill the order in time (understandable). So I about gave up, but when ahead and tried calling Cakes for Karen's. The person on the phone was very prompt and polite and was able to answer my questions immediately without thought. They gave me a good quote ($39) and was even able to make it for me with basically less than the 24-hour notice. We shared this cake with all my coworkers and staff (about 25 people) and every single person said it was both delicious and beautiful. I adored the flower arrangement on top. Also, when I picked it up, the lady at the counter (I didn't catch her name, but she was a bit older) was SO sweet and personable, which made the purchase all the more pleasant. I will most definitely be looking here first when I have any cake needs in the future ?

My husband always orders my birthday cake from Cake by Karen . And that's where we got our wedding cake from . But the last two years my birthday cake has not tasted great . The buttercream frosting is salty with the taste of food coloring flavor. It just wasn't good. I won't be ordering any more cakes from them and will tell my husband to find a new bakery to get my cakes birthday cakes.
