CAMELIA Modern Mexican Cuisine

Took my girlfriend here on Valentine's Day. Waiting in two hours for our food and then we got the order of guacamole ended up asking for the check and leaving before our food arrived. The food looked really good, but we never tasted it so I rated it one star. The bartenders were the servers and there just wasn't enough staff for the rush.

I went on valentines night I get it a crazy night but I checked in for my reservation on time and was quickly sat the restaurant was beautifully decorated and they had a live band which was great but unfortunately that's where the good times end we put in a order all quickly at 640pm and did not get our food until 740pm and it wasn't just me I looked around and only 4 tables in the whole restaurant had food understand if your short staff and food tickets are running behind but explain that to your customers!!! For 200$ dinner I would hope for more

We had high hopes for CAMELIA, but unfortunately it did not meet expectations. Here was our experience. We arrived for our 7:15 reservation at 7:05. We waited at the unstaffed host podium for about 10 minutes before getting to our seats. We had a party of 10. Entertainment. There was live singing, which was great! - But the speakers were incredibly loud for a nice dinner out; it was almost impossible to talk when singing and music was on. Food. The food was overpriced for the quality you received. I ordered the Filet medium. It was $52 and came well-done with instant mashed potatoes the size of an egg in its shell. The instant potato flavor was so obvious. For a $52 plate, I would have expected a higher standard. Service. We had a very friendly host, but getting attention for at least a water refill was almost impossible. Two of us ordered a second round of drinks; 20 minutes later, they still had not arrived. I spoke up. 2 minutes later, a watered-down, semi-melted large ice cube in my whisky was placed in front of me. They were sitting on the counter. Service again. It was 9:20 pm, and our food had not arrived yet. Our reservation was at 7:15. Our one entree each was served plate by plate, with 5-10 minutes between guests receiving theirs. 8 of us had finished eating, and I once again had to speak up to get the remaining order for two in our party. One order was a little bowl of mac and cheese. The other was Shrimp with rice. The shrimp dish was missing a side. It was embarrassing and uncomfortable for the group. We asked for the check, and I said our reservation was at 7:15, and we got our first plate down at 9:20. She immediately said they would give us a 15% Discount. The guacamole was impressive and delicious. This needs to be seen by the manager. There is so much that can be done to make your guests have a good experience. It missed the mark.

We had an amazing experience at Camelia. The food was delicious, we ordered the guacamole and beef chicharrones they were delicious we totally recommend them. Also we ordered the chicken taquitos and chilaquiles for brunch. We can't wait to comeback and try their dinner menu

This place was not very good and did not have very good service. And when we arrived at 7:00 and got sat down and at 7:30 they took our drink order, a manager or someone we didn’t know came out and told us that our order was gonna take longer than usual, because they had another big party, and so they took an hour just to get our food order .At 8:00 they took our order finally after waiting for so long. When they finally came out with our drinks half of them were correct and the others were wrong. And they didn’t which people ordered what. The waiter was very disrespectful when one of us asked a question about their drink. When our food came out the portions were not very big. And it lacked flavor. Overpriced overall for not good service and food. Thank you for reading this!

It’s the place to be on sundays. Live groups and drink specials. Definitely a must try 10/10

We made an online reservation, and when we arrived, we were denied service due to a private event. Why not block that date out, or something?

Camerlia is super super good! Food was amazing and drinks were as well.
Also not to mention our server Mario was super friendly and very nice 🙂
The atmosphere alone with the great service brings a very warm and welcoming feeling 😁
Would come here again for sure!

Super solid high quality mexican cuisine at it's finest. Great drinks and food in a cozy and luxurious environment in a great vivid location. Everything was on point and Mario's service was attentive and professional. If you are in the mood for the kind of high quality restaurants you would find in Mexico City but in Denver, Camélia is your spot !
