DON’T RECOMMEND! The elf pop up bar was a huge scam with overpriced, mediocre christmas themed drinks. There were pictures online which were completely different than how it looked in person. It looked like they just put the decorations the day of and it was terrible. There were events like trivia and bingo but that’s all you’re really paying for. The time to get our food and drinks was long because of how they had everyone all come in at once. Terrible experience .

Trivia on Tuesdays at 7. Host is devilishly handsome and a cunning linguist. Try the mozz sticks and the calzones. Oh, and the fajitas.
Vegetarian options: They have some.
Parking: Meters, no charge after 6? Small back lot if your suspension is sound and you can five point a turn.
Kid-friendliness: Golden triangle. If you have children, don’t live near here.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yep. Roll on in.

Have to agree with the other review about not doing the Elf Bar 100%. What a letdown. The decorations were just eh with really no photo ops. And to have to pay for a ticket to get in for 80 minutes and not even get one drink on the house. The themed drink menu consisted of maybe 2 or 3 drinks. The gum drop shot was disgusting. Service wasn’t great either. Not happy at all that we wasted our money on this.
If I could give Elf Bar zero stars, I would. We paid $17 for tickets to this so-called “pop-up bar,” only to show up and find out it didn’t even exist that day, because there was a Vikings game on. Did they bother to notify us? Nope. Did they offer an apology or try to make it right? Absolutely not.
The staff couldn’t have cared less. Instead of addressing the problem or offering a solution, they handed me a slip of paper with a number to contact somebody else.
Save yourself the time, money, and frustration—Elf Bar is a scam dressed up in holiday lights.
Scam. Sold tickets to an “Elf pop up bar.” We showed up for the day and time of our tickets, and the bar tender said it wasn’t happening that night. Looked like lots of people there expecting a ticketed event… to find nothing other than a regular bar with no need for a ticket. Waitress for our table was also moody and grumpy. Terrible experience, wish we hadn’t doubled down on a scam with drinks (we arrived before our friends and thought we were getting drinks before the elf event).

We purchased tickets for the elf bar popup for a specific date/time. After arriving we were told it wasn’t happening due to a Vikings game. They handed us printed out contact details for who to reach out for a refund.
Its quite wild that they didn’t notify us in advance, accepted event bookings knowing it wouldn’t happen, print out refund contact sheets knowing they were double-booked, and be upset at us/rude for showing up to the (non-existent event) that they booked.

I'm not one for bad reviews. This is not intended for cap city tavern, this review is all about the elf pop up they have going on. $15 a person for entry fee to play 2 games and still have to pay for the food and drinks was very disappointing. I won 1 of the bingo games to recieve a lollipop. One would have hoped to get a free drink or even half off a drink or something good not a .10 cent candy cane. There should definitely not be a ticket fee what so ever, especially if nothing comes with it other than getting a seat and still having to pay for everything once your inside.

I seen more Vikings fans in an hour than I have in the whole 7 yrs I've lived here. Needless to say it was really cool. Good to feel at home!
Went for a holiday experience and it was very disappointing. Charged money to enter and the service was horrible. They had to take food and drinks off our tab because they
couldn't deliver. The decorations were
disappointing nothing special. Wasn't impressed at all!! Elf pop up save your time and money.

DO NOT DO THE ELF BAR!! This is a scam. They make you pay to get in by buying a ticket online. Only get 90 minutes. When we got there, we had to wait in line and they still asked us to leave at our 90 minute even though we weren’t here the full-time due to their long line ! You walk into a bar that has nothing to do with the elf. It looks like a Christmas bar. The menu has the names from the elf movie and so does the drink menu. They had a bingo and gave you a sucker for winning. Like what are we 5?! Plus, you had to order food and drinks plus tip your waiter. This was a total scam and a waste of money and a letdown. Why did we have to reserve a spot and pay for it? The food was basic bar food nothing amazing. The fries were soggy. I don’t drink so I have the fruit punch which was mostly ice and three marshmallows. Also half of the bar is on a patio, but you don’t notice that unless you’re sitting down and freezing they have it like a makeshift tent where it looks like it it’s inside but it’s really cold since it’s Colorado. Definitely save your money and go somewhere else.

DO NOT DO THE ELF popup bar. It was definitely a cat fish situation. This is a hole in the wall duve bar. They did decorate but had only 4 drink options, one being "kid friendly" as they put it. Drinks were cheap but came in regular classes and nothing else festive was offered. Go to Miracle at Union Station. It is $10 more but sooooo worth it as it is such a magical, festive experience with awesome drinks and free popcorn ! 🍿

Their version of a “Christmas Bar” that they charged $5 a person for. Minimal effort, and crappy cocktails. Don’t go

Was here on Sunday with a couple of my friends, sat behind the bar and was not greeted with a ‘Hi’ or ‘How are you, welcome in!’ But with a “food?” with attitude by the server with red pieces in her hair.
I’ve come to this restaurant plenty of times and always had great service but this was the 2nd encounter I’ve had with the same server. The first time I asked for a sample of the rotator and all I got in response was an eye roll and walk away and she wasn’t seen for 10 mins after. I’m a server/bartender myself and would never treat my patrons in that way. I understand if you were busy in anyway but to give attitude and terrible service is not the way to handle it.

I have been here multiple times and I have never had such a horrible experience than this time today.
Our waitress did not acknowledge us in any way, dropped things off and did not speak a word. The girl with red money pieces of hair and baby head earrings, rude!
Asked us for drinks, food then never came back. Her counter part, boy with beanie with a tree topper and pierced ears, at least spoke one word sentences and got me extra sauce, thanks for that……
I understand that you guys were clearly NOT busy with the sitting behind the bar and having a Kiki, but c’mon.
I will say, the guy who got us our receipts, was so nice, very pleasant and actually checked in on us when he noticed I was annoyed.
See ya!

It was by happenstance that we found this neighborhood bar. Very friendly staff. The service was great and we liked the ambiance very much. We will definitely go back. 😁
