We were allowed to choose our own table by the window looking onto McGregor Square. We chose a fish dish & were warned that it was spicy. Yes it was, but not too spicy. We were offered a birthday dessert, which was delicious (peach bread pudding) and was added to our bill. We will go back.

Carmine's absolutely delivered last night. The atmosphere was perfect—quiet enough to have a great conversation without raising your voice. Every dish was spot on, but the special chicken ravioli was the clear standout. The Bolognese was rich and flavorful, the linguine with shrimp had just the right amount of lemon, and the meatballs were unforgettable. If you have the chance to go, don't miss it—whether here or at their Pennsylvania Steeet location, you're in for an exceptional meal.

Dinner was excellent as usual. When did they change that lovely garlic bread that they used to serve at the original location? It was to die for unless you were a vampire but oh so good. The new rolls are just average, but the pasta was delicious.

Rude service left much to be desired. Won't be returning

Our family is on a trip to Denver from California, we came to McGregor Square to grab some dinner since we were in the area walking around. We decided some Italian food sounded good and was seated at Carmines.
Our server was Josh, I cannot say anything about the food because we ended up leaving before we were able to have anything other than drinks. The menu does not explain what the food is, just names of the item but we ended up looking at the menu online and it explained.
When Josh came to grab our order, we were not ready to put in entrees but knew what appetizers we wanted, I told Josh the server what we decided on and he said he won’t put in the appetizer without the entrees because it throws the kitchen off so he will give me more time. I found this odd but okay, when he came back I had the order, I cannot eat shrimp but my family can so we ordered our dish with the shrimp on the side so they can add it themselves he had to check if the kitchen would do that, they would, I asked for the non spicy marinara sauce (he told us we could change the sauce) so when I ask he explains the Italian sausage is spicy which we know and are okay with I said that’s okay he keeps repeating himself about the sausage and repeating “there’s nothing I can do about that” I keep saying that’s okay we like Italian sausage. He was very argumentative at everything we tried to order and trying to push us to order more, we didn’t need more.
My daughter asked Josh if he could please grab a refill of my son’s Shirley temple he grabs the cup and says “he is gonna get diabetes” surrounding tables heard this and thought it was completely rude and inappropriate. I had enough we canceled our order and asked for the bill for our drinks. He came back dropped the bill on the table and said “sorry you decided not to eat here” in the most sarcastic rude way possible.
This was the worst dining experience ever my 7 year old son was upset to hear what Josh had to say about him and is still asking why he said that.
Josh you should be ashamed of yourself to speak about a child that way, maybe consider a new job this one is not for you. Carmines you should be embarrassed to allow this behavior from a server.
We walked across the way to Tom’s watch bar and had excellent service instead.

Here is why I give a five but service low. The ordering process is way too hard. No need to belabor the point that's my feedback.

Don't expect the same food or ambiance as Carmines on Penn. Our veal Marsala was so tough we almost couldn't chew it, their half portions are half of the half sizes and we were rushed out the door at 20 past 9pm. Server had no recommendations and no personality.

Service was very very poor. The food was good but a restaurant with those prices should require their staff to be more professional and experienced.

They are upfront about adding 4% for kitchen staff on line but I got hit with a surprise 3.5% surcharge for a fee they have to pay McGregor Square! That is ridiculous ! Over 7% added to my check before tip.

The salad and bread was good, but the pasta and chicken dishes were not. Also, the restaurant was mostly empty but they sat us at a table in direct line with the setting sun so the sunshine was in our eyes for half of our dinner. Very disappointing dinner.

I had the carbonara and it was absolutely fantastic—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The bread they serve is to die for, seriously some of the best I’ve had. Great service, beautiful space, and an all-around excellent dining experience. I’ll definitely be back!

The name of this restaurant being Carmine’s (like Vegas, NYC, etc) puts the name to shame. I’ve tried both locations of Carmine’s in Denver and both are equally terrible and not worth your time - or your stomach hurting. Unflavored food, chewy chicken parm, expensive for what portions you get. The chewy chicken parm is wild to me - and is the same thing I experienced at the Carmine’s at Penn. do not visit.

The food was for lack of a better word lacking. The noodles were under cooked and rubbery the presentation of the food was sloppy and rushed. We will not be back and will not recommend.
