My fiancé and I LOVE coming here. We have had Ben multiple times as our server and he is so attentive and so kind. He has always given us great recommendations and the most enjoyable service. We also always stop at the bar to say hi to our favorite bar tender in the area, Vitalli. He is so knowledgeable of both the food and cocktail menu. Vitalli is kind and authentic which makes his service second to none. Catievella’s specials are always consistently rotating and you can’t go wrong with any of their dishes. If I could give it more than five stars I would. Cheers!

We loved the entire experience here and decided to try one of the cooking classes. It was a ton of fun, full of good information, and cool to see one of their dishes come to life!

We came to cattivella on the suggestion of a past client recommendation. We came for happy hour and let me tell you that this is one of the best happy hours in the city. The menu is super extensive and their wine list is to die for. The prices are super reasonable and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. We spent less than $60 and walked out full after sharing calamari, a whole pizza and a bowl of pasta with two glasses of wine. I highly reccomend this place which is located in the burgeoning neighborhood of Central Park!

We are from out of town and found this place close to where we were staying. Food was creative and delicious. The service was excellent! Would like to return to try other dishes on the menu.

Their Happy Hour is misleading. I went on the Monday and they happened to have Happy Hour all day. Great! Right? Nope. The dishes on Happy Hour are both reduced in prices and reduced in portions. What's the point really? Normally the restaurant offers Happy Hour so customers get the full size dishes for HH prices. That's why people come during happy hour. What's the point of paying reduced price if you're just giving me a spoonful of sample for HH? How about just labeling your food portions into lunch/dinner portions and charge them accordingly??? I will not come back.

The food at Cattivella is delicious! Their pizza in particular is highly recommended. They have a nice selection of wines and cocktails. The wait staff is very attentive. Two Thumbs Up!

From the reviews and looking at the menu, I was excited to come here and try it out since I hadn't seen this place in the plaza before. The decor is really nice and it's cool that you have the option to sit and watch the chefs cook. I opted for floor seating since my husband doesn't hear very well and kitchens can be loud and exciting places. The seating chart on the floor is very crowded and uncomfortable and our two person table was so close to the group next to us that another guest jostled our table and waiters were facing us with their rears as we ate. I thought the food we ate was wonderful and I enjoyed most of it. We got the burrata flatbread and I got a rigatoni dish with a sauce that was very good. My husband was not a fan of his rib eye and added that he wouldn't order that from here again. I was also a little disappointed that the lava cake description doesn't mention that there's a pool of berry sauce on the bottom of it. It completely changes the flavor of the dessert and not in a way I was expecting or wanting it to taste like. We will likely return, probably at happy hour when it's not as busy to sit at the bar since there isn't booth seating on the main floor.

Food came very quickly, before we were even settled. As soon as one of us had finished, the dessert menu arrived. Everything very hurried and waitress was not familiar with wine list. This was a birthday celebration and we were done in 45 min.

Excellent service on New Years Eve! Lindsey was wonderful and a shout out to those food runners too! Our food was served hot and so delicious. Really great specials for the evening and we were early so enjoyed the Happy Hour menu! What a nice surprise!! There is something special about the atmosphere at Cattivella. They go out of their way to make you so feel welcome and valued as a customer.

Everything from the service to the food was incredible. It was a beautiful experience and we will be back. Full of flavor, great recommendations, gave samples which made it fun. The strawberry basil cocktail was delicious. The oysters were the best I've ever had!

I was eating at this restaurant one evening when it was packed with people. Lindsay waited on us and was so attentive while all were running around frantic. Please request her when there she is the best

Everything we ate was excellent. I would say the two standouts were the pasticcio and the rabbit gnocchi. Definitely worth it to order the crostata dessert when deciding on the main course.
