This is now our favorite Mexican restaurant! The service was impeccable but not intrusive. The food was fabulous! I had the tamale appetizer- both the green and brown mole was the best I've ever had! My husband had the calamari- superb! My entree was chilis en nogada - amazing flavor- ate every bite. My husband had the ribeye on poblano sauce. The steak was fork tender and full of flavor! We cannot wait to go back so that we can try other menu selection.

I ordered online for my family spent 102.19$. Order was a hour late cold and looks like they just whipped together the last of the chicken soup. They gave me half a cup of soup the nachos were all chips a few strips of meat old soggy tomatoes and brown lettus and guac. The carne asada was the most expensive and looks like they diced a few pieces together to make up for 4 plates. Called to get it fixed they claimed its how their buisness is ran. I was very unimpressed with the service and food. Nothing to brag about. I'll be sure to call the health department to make sure everything's OK in that kitchen, some of the chicken in the soup had a green tint. I dislike to waste food but threw it away and ordered from another local Mexican restaurant and was happy with the portions and the price was half of what we paid here. Beware to their clients check their reviews before ordering lesson learned.

In a city full of Tex Mex, it's nice to find more interesting plate selections. Started off with Mezcal, a beer and their chips and salsa. The corn chips come fresh with 3 specialty salsas. A bean and chorizo salsa is a comforting start to the hungry diner. Their house salsa is thin but packed with chiles and brightness from an oil and vinegar base. The star was the salsa the server described as spicy. Although, the spice is not an overpowering chile. It's crushed garlic and seasonings that remind me of Christmas morning with cinnamon and cocoa notes. Our entrees were chicken mole, chile verde, and chile en Nogada. All three were outstanding. The cocoa in the mole sauce ecstasy. The seeds and nuts add a delicious depth to the chile en Nogada. The chile verde is exactly what you want out of this dish. Succulent pork with a hot spice level above the other dishes. I have no idea why this place wasn't packed. The atmosphere is very modern. It reminds me of a downtown loft. Spacious, clean, decorated with a vibrant modern eye. The artwork is for sale and draws you into the spiraling dot art like a fractal landscape. The server and owner were very sweet. They were patient and interesting to talk with. Keep this place in business but save me a table!

This place was nearly empty which doesn't make sense considering how good the food was. If you like mole sauce and other fancier style dishes it is a winner. Our 4 year old also finished a entire adult serving of shrimp she loved it so much.Kid-friendliness: We had a group of 8 with 4 kids they were great with the kids and the atmosphere worked well for the kids who loved it and the food.

Chile en nogado was the star of the table - a savory concoction of poblano, fruits, nuts in an amazing creamy, sweet sauce - a real taste treat!Chicken poblano mole was rich, dark and delicious - chicken was tender and mole was flavorful and perfectly balanced. Our favorite with the chips was a tasty, mildly flavored bean/chorizo dip. House marg was smooth and boozy, a real value at $6! Service was attentive and helpful.Overall, Chile Verde is a satisfying and delicious dining experience, an excellent value and we will return.

We walked in the door and we were immediately transported to Mexico! The ambiance, decorations, cleanliness, and greetings from the staff told us we were in for a wonderful feast! We enthusiastically ate the seafood stuffed poblano and Chili Verde which were spiced perfectly. Be sure to have the chips with beans and salsas. They were addictive! We look forward to our next meal and exploring the rest of the menu. Thank you!

Hadn't been in quite awhile and happy to see it's still a VERY good restaurant. Beautiful contemporary room and dishes that feature Mexican cuisine that is miles from typical Tex-Mex. My favorite is the chile en nogada and it was delicious. My wife had the seafood rellenos and that dish too was great. I tried the drink special, a tepache margarita (and had to Google "tepache"). Now I know and the drink was refreshing and much enjoyed. A cold Wednesday evening and it was pretty quiet. But a good reminder for us to make it back on a more regular basis.
