Hmmm...restaurant is shut down. I even confirmed, on line, yet it has been closed for some time. VERY disappointed not contacted so we could make other arrangements.

It was closed and apparently has been for a couple of weeks. Disappointing that Open Table didn't know that. Had to give a bad review since we didn't get to eat there

After making reservations in advance via the link on their website and driving almost an hour we arrived to find Chocolate Lab closed. A neighboring merchant informed us they closed about 3 weeks ago and have not been seen or heard from since. While I am sorry they were unable to stay in business, the least they could do is remove their reservation link and update their website.

Opentable Diner

They didn't even open. There was no sign or anything. Not sure why they'd take reservations?

Opentable Diner

Was not open server next door said hasn't been open in a week... drove all the way with a reservation for the place to be closed during business hours ...

Delicious food, creative cocktails and impressive mocktail list, and amazingly friendly service. Go early to avoid the crowds!

This a great restaurant tucked into a quiet neighborhood. It's fun to watch local children come in to buy a treat from the candy case. And it's worth getting something for yourself from the candy case. The food is creative and every item has chocolate in it. The appetizer and entree items are savory, very savory. The menu is small and diverse, from short ribs to impossible meatloaf. If you like French onion soup, it is rich and savory with dark chocolate. The dessert menu appears to be what you would expect from a chocolate-themed restaurant but takes standards like brownies and makes them memorable. The bar is very pretty and the bartender has mixed drinks and cocktails that are eye-catching and uniquely delicious. The service is friendly and prompt and caring. Tell them if you have dietary restrictions and the chef will work to accommodate you. Cheers!

The food and cocktails were outstanding. The intimate atmosphere made for a lovely evening.

It's so refreshing to dine out and enjoy a superb meal, so rare these days. We sat outside at a cozy table tucked below and beside the quiet neighborhood street. You'd completely miss it if you didn't know it was there. We shared the short ribs with, of course, a chocolate-imbued glaze, and the ordinary-sounding-but-anything-but taco salad with pork; both were magnificent. Along with our fabulous chocolate-enhanced cocktails we ate every bite, to our surprise. The chocolate presence in the food is not distinct, rather serving to add a richness to the flavors. The only item we did not care for was the s'mores desert, which the affable chef assured us would be shortly improved.

It was a quiet Wednesday. Service was obviously great and attentive. The drinks were divine (they do take a bit to prepare so we ordered the second drinks a little early haha). We had the pork belly and nachos and we were too full to get entrees. So we just got a lot of dessert instead. Had a discussion with Phil over the chocolate bar about his creations and we took home a bag full of delicious truffles, almond bark, and other treats. We will be going back often.

Extensive cocktail list perfect for the adventurous. My favorite was the S'moretini. The scallops were seared to perfection and the bourbon white chocolate polenta was divine. The blackberry chocolate glazed short rib was so tender and fell off the bone. Of course the bread pudding was to die for. Loved the ambiance and the service was outstanding. Thank you for such a wonderful evening out. We will be back!

Incredible food and craft cocktails that you won't find anywhere else. You have to try the scallops and a dessert. The chocolate desserts are to die for! Definitely worth every penny. You have to check this place out!

Such a fun experience - glad to have another fun restaurant in the neighborhood. My reluctant father wasn't sure what to expect with a chocolate themed menu but he was pleasantly surprised and can't wait to go back!

The food was delicious; we had the Lasagna and the Short Ribs. The Chocolate Manhattan was to die for! I plan to go back over and over again. Creative food and beautiful presentation.

The space is in dire need of some soft surfaces. Half full, and I could barely hear my wife over the reverberations. The cocktails are inventive and well executed. Our meals were underwhelming. For $50 an entree, you would expect deliciousness, but the short rib was small portion and pretty dry. The wild rice was crunchy and not very savory. The scallops (3?) tasted pretty good, but the portion small. They need to course correct or this place will be closed within a year.
