My partner and I love this place. Super nice and knowledgeable staff. Great local beer selection. And we love that they serve up those Rocky MTN frozen pizzas for when you need a snack ?

Nice, clean bar serving great beer at great prices. Non-alcoholic selection is better than expected. Trivia night is a good time!

Top notch beers for days and a barman who can tell you everything you need to know about them and more.

Pretzel A.

I went to Congress Park Taproom on a crisp, cool, clear, Colorado night in December. I opened the door to a mostly full, but placid bar with warm lighting. The patrons consisted of mostly men age 30 and up. Sports paraphernalia lined lined the walls separated by large TVs showing the night's games. I approached the bar to find a single empty seat on the far end. I made my way to the seat and was immediately greeted by a genial bar tender, who ostensibly was the sole employee working that night. I ordered a 5 dollar pretzel with mustard accompanied by a sour, considerably crisp Odell's Sippin' Tropical. While awaiting the arrival of my pretzel, my eyes espied the bar table's coppery aluminum surface encased by a thick layer of wax that reflected light from the hanging overhead fixtures and radiated the internal amity of the bar. After a moderate wait, the pretzel arrived alongside four mustard packets on a large, recycled, brown, paper plate; upon which, it stretched the entire circumference. Indeed, the pretzel's 5 dollar price belied its immensity. It had an ochre to medium brown appearance, not quite reaching the ideal mahogany hue. The outer breading sported a smattering of salt and was rigid, but not tough, which complimented the soft, somewhat chewy inner breading. Its flavor was overwhelmingly unremarkable, an accomplishment in its own right. The pretzel's dearth of an outer buttery coat required the combined accompaniment of all four, unusually warm, mustard packets, two of which were Gulden's Spicy Brown that were counterparts with two classic French's Yellow. As I reached the center twist, the continuous accumulation of carbs, salt, and starch caused me to rapidly deplete my pint, potentially miring my meal. Fortunately, the foresighted bartender served an unsolicited glass of ice water, thereby allowing me to finish the pretzel. Despite requiring a certain assiduousness, I enjoyed the pretzel at Congress Park Taproom, but not as much as I appreciated the bar's aura of hospitality. I give them a pretzel rating of 3 out 5 and an overall 4 out of 5 star rating.

Excellent beer selection. Atmosphere is a little sterile. Love the food options nearby and they encourage you to eat it in the bar. Would be nice if the kombucha was alcohol free.

Stopped in on Halloween night, small crowd. Good beer selection and from what I could see a good liquor selection as well but dominated by local liquor distillers, as it should be. Bar tender friendly and very informative of what they offered. Parking is tight and sign inside states if you park at Einstein Bagels you WILL be towed

Feels like a neighborhood bar should feel. Homie. Can order food from the surrounding restaurants. Always has a good game on. Very friendly bar tenders.

Woody is great. Good beer had the hazy change of scenery and the first cast We just ordered a pretzel and he said it's the best TBD. They have happy hours all Sunday for certain beers.

Great atmosphere, great staff. One of the best spots to hang out, have a beer and watch sports. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. The bartender with the glasses and the red beard was friendly and was very on point with his beer knowledge.

Awesome spot. Great beer menu and even better employees. Bonus points for having all the games on.
