Owner was pretty cool and down to earth. Cute establishment. Def didn't expect it. Glad we went
I’m from Chicago and have been wanting to try this place for almost a year. Upon walking in, we were warmly greeted by Jandy. She personally made our pizza and hot sticks with real Gardinera! It honestly brought a tear to my eye. It smelled, looked and tasted just like family pizza night back in Chicago. We also had a sample of the LSD (Lake Shore Drive) lemon supreme icecream… so good. Will be back to try to Italian beef! I even took it home in a Chicago style bag. Also so easy to park there’s a whole garage right in back!
I grew up in Chicago and lived there for over 30 years and when I saw that this place offered true Chicago tavern style pizza, I had to give it a shot and it did not disappoint. What was also awesome was finding out that the owner and his kids are from my hometown of mundelein and I can definitely see a little inspiration from our local tavern style place Bill's pub.
Wanted to love it, but came up incredible short.
First of, $30 for a medium two topping thin crust pizza is absurd. Then, somehow undercooking the crust while simultaneously burning the cheese is a feat I've never seen. But taking 50 minutes to do so, made it even worse.
I'd love to tell you how the garlic cheesy bread was, but they thought appetizers should come out after the pizza.
Ordered an Old Style, but after 10 minutes of waiting for that, I had to go up to the bar to get it. Sold us a fountain drink, but the soda fountain doesn't work...
I’ve been looking for this place for the last twenty years. THE BEST thin crust pizza this side of Milwaukee. Perfect crust, flavorful sauce. Finally found a place in Denver that isn’t serving generic wood fired pizza.
One of the worst pizzas I've had. Gives Chicago style pizzas a bad name as someone who has never been to Chicago and was recommended to try this place, it makes me want to never try real authentic pizza in Chicago. One good thing I will say tho is for BAR FOOD, it's okay. 1/5 stars, would not recommend.
I had high hopes for Da Sauce, but unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. From the moment I walked in, it became clear that the restaurant’s standards were far below what one would expect.
First, the service was nothing short of absurd. Despite the restaurant being only moderately busy, the staff seemed disorganized and inattentive. It took an unusually long time just to place our order, and when we politely asked for updates on our food, we were met with indifference and a borderline rude response. The lack of professionalism was startling, and it created an unpleasant dining atmosphere.
But the worst part came when the pizza arrived. I was shocked to discover a curly hair baked into the cheese, an unacceptable and frankly disturbing oversight. Hygiene should be the baseline at any food establishment, and for this to happen is simply inexcusable. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, there was no apology or attempt to rectify the situation. Instead, we were met with a dismissive attitude, as though our concern was a mere inconvenience.
Needless to say, this ruined our meal, and we left without finishing. It’s clear that there are serious issues both in the kitchen and with the staff’s approach to customer service. I would strongly advise anyone considering dining at Da Sauce to look elsewhere. Between the unsanitary conditions and the lack of basic courtesy, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I have ever had.
Management needs to address these glaring problems immediately if they hope to regain the trust of their customers.

I recently ate at Da Sauce. It's a hidden gem with one of the best pizzas in town. The service was great, and they have a nice selection of drinks.

I'm not one for posting reviews, but this pizza was delicious. Having lived most of my life in the Chicago area, I've had my fair share of pizza and I can honestly say that this was among the best pizza I've ever had. The crust was thin and crispy and the cheese was perfectly charred. If you're looking for Chicago style thin crust in the Denver area this place is excellent.
