The Grumpy Egg (Formally known as Daylight Donuts)

Lady at the counter was rude and didn’t seem very interested in helping me while purchasing donuts. She just kept talking to the server next to her as I was standing at the counter ready to order. Donuts weren’t worth the terrible service, or money. I hate to say it but I’ve had better donuts at a gas station. Do better y’all.

I went to the grumpy egg Cafe last Sunday and the food was really good all the staff was very friendly, the only thing that was weird to me is that nobody takes your order at the table, if you want to order you have to order at the front counter and you have to pay before you even seat down, then they take the food to the table but if you want something else you have to stand up to the front counter again but I have a good experience after all.

Go here twice a month for a breakfast meeting with my business partner. Great breakfast food. Love the doughnuts, too. Excellent service. Seems to be family run.

First time going here and I really enjoyed it. The food was amazing. Didn't feel rushed at all which was nice since some places feel like they just want to turn tables and make money. Staff was very friendly. Highly recommend this place

Seems like they went across the street to king soopers and got canned corned beef hash to cook and serve. Biscuits and gravy tasted like flour. Very bland food, nothing special.

This place is meh! Food is just ok not much flavor going on. We got classic breakfast and biscuits and gravy. Eggs were cooked as requested but lacked any flavor, potatoes were bland. Biscuits and gravy were flavorless. Never got the water I asked for. No one serves you, you have to clean your own table when you leave. I can do that at home. Won’t be back, much better places to go in the area.

I've been coming here since it was daylight doughnuts while the name has changed. It's still the same great food and friendly neighborhood atmosphere. The smothered breakfast burrito is great!

This was our first time ordering from this restaurant and we ordered off DoorDash. We got home and the order was wrong, so we called and the manager fixed the order right away and went above and beyond and brought it to our door! Delicious food highly recommend!!!!
