The Grumpy Egg (Formally known as Daylight Donuts)

The environment here is amazing! The staff was friendly and helpful to me since I had never been here before. I took one star off the food because I ordered two items. One was a yogurt bowl and the other was a bowl of green chili. The yogurt bowl was outstanding in presentation and taste. However as a green chili enthusiast I was not impressed by the green chili. It tasted as if they had accidentally dumped pepper in it and it overpowered everything else in the recipe. It was like eating straight black pepper. I will 100% be coming back to try more food here just based on environment and service alone. The yogurt bowl won me over for sure! Give this place a try, you may find something you really like here. Also, I didn't try the donuts but they looked delicious.

Cute lil breakfast joint. You pay at the front and seat yourself. I went on Sunday and it seems like it gets busy on the weekend so I’d get there early. Cheap good breakfast.

For a place called the grumpy egg, they sure are friendly here. I think my only problem with this place is that the price on their menu board never matches what they charge. It's like they have an extra 10-15% phantom charge added to every meal.

Very disappointed when you rush to get somewhere before they close at 1:00 pm get there at 12:30 and are told sorry we've already closed our grill. Have been there numerous times and enjoyed the food but if you say you're open till when you should stay open till 1:00.

Good breakfast place

This place is excellent! The prices are incredible and the quality is fantastic!!!! I’ve eaten there a few times and I’ve been happy each time!!! The people are kind and again the food is amazing!!!

The food is mid quality, confidently presented but nothing special. The staff is very friendly. A step Above hole in the wall but not particularly fancy for atmosphere.

Imagine an old fashioned diner in a small town, maybe in the south, and you've got what this place is like. There are older men bringing their own coffee cups, there are families enjoying a breakfast, and the help is always friendly. I'll be going back.

The price keeps rising and they still can’t cook an egg to order.

This is the cutest spot, love the atmosphere, got donuts and the BLT it was delicious.
Already ate half of my sandwich but it was delicious. This will be a spot I visit every time I come to town from Las Vegas!!
