My husband and I had breakfast on a Sunday morning and we were seated right away and greeted by our server immediately. She was very pleasant and attentive. Our food arrived promptly and was fresh and delicious. The server noticed my husband’s veteran hat and gave him a military discount which was a pleasant surprise. The Delectable Egg did not disappoint!
This place has a lot of great reviews and the staff is very nice and welcoming, so I'm confused. I ordered a Monte Cristo for takeout and it was, in a word, disappointing. It was supposed to be a "double decker", but I'm not sure they know what that means because it wasn't. The bottom was soggy and it was otherwise overcooked and dry. It was mostly flavorless, like there was no seasoning at all. The side of hash browns was good but scant. I will try again...
It is the best place in the entire USA for breakfast. The food is very homemade as if your grandmother made it. The serving staff is excellent. Now it is my favorite place to have breakfast. Everything delicious!
