No longer open to the public, and the business at best is negligent for not advertising it, and at worst purposefully does so to create an exclusive atmosphere. Was hoping to check it out with my partner given the good reviews however, there were many red flags ahead of time. Business website displays a broken instagram link and a message saying space is available to reserve privately, on top of that, on three different occasions no one picked up their phone while they were open. We arrived at the venue to only to be turned away after driving through town to find it’s ONLY available for private events. Host was courteous to apologize and say they would speak to the owner, but ultimately it seemed to serve as a front to steer customers to Machete (owned by the same person, per host) downstairs. Last experience at Machete was disappointing, especially for the price, so we elected to window shop another good bar in the area.

We love Derecho! So delicious. Their jamon iberico and patatas bravas are so tasty and authentic- they bring me back to my days living in Spain. Highly recommend for a tasty meal. You won't be disappointed.

This is officially our new favorite tapas in Denver! I had the best two different mezcal margaritas that I’ve ever had. The plates were very big as tapas go, and everything was delicious. It was very fairly priced given the large portion sizes. I especially recommend the chef’s choice cheese and the garlic trio. Service was the best part of a wonderful experience, and we had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful chef, who explained each dish to us and made recommendations. We will absolutely be back.

Absolutely amazing service, and we got to meet the chef who explained some of the dishes to us. We ordered the garlic trio (amazing!!), the meat and cheese plate (big enough for me and my very hungry husband to share), the artichokes (omg, these were to die for) and the sea bass, which was super fresh tasting and really light. We also ordered dessert which was phenomenal as well. We will absolutely be back!

Had a wonderful dining experience. The chef was fantastic as was all the staff. The chicken was spectacular - perhaps the best in many years. The octopus was also great according to my spouse. The chocolate mousse was a perfect ending - not ur normal ok desert but was dreamy good. They have earned a loyal customer. We will be back!!!

It's a basic tapa place, with limited menu options.

A very nice place people were having a good time. I didn't eat. Very reasonable prices for the area.

I can't wait to go back! I enjoyed the most tasty and fresh nicoise salad ever paired with a perfectly mixed dirty martini. The friendly waitstaff and open air sunlit space lends to a sophisticated but chill vibe. The manager even took the time to say hello and ask if I enjoyed my meal. Which I did!

I am way behind in posting this review, but we tried this little gem out a few weeks ago. It was spectacular. Service was fantastic, but the food.....I can't say it was for sure a religious experience, but I'll be damned if it wasn't close. We had a charcuterie board, the burrata, the meatballs, and the polenta with braised lamb. If we weren't out in public, I would have licked my plate. One person in our group had a cocktail and said it was perfect, and their blackberry mocktail was so refreshing. We also had the torte de santiago for dessert. Who knew olive oil cake could be delicious?!Only thing I wasn't 100% in love with was the volume of music. Even at a small table it was difficult to have a conversation. Regardless, I'm still absolutely going to be returning. Make a trip here- it's without question worth the visit!

Truly fantastic experience on a Sunday afternoon. Ibérico, Gambas, Albóndigas and Filete were all exceptional. Fern’s command of the menu and passion towards it made everything easy. Wally went out of his way to make what was already a great time even better. Derecho is a gem.
