I’ve been to this place three or four times and have always loved the food and the staff — they’ve consistently provided a great experience. However, during my most recent visit, I had an unfortunate encounter with one of the servers.
From the beginning, his demeanor was noticeably unfriendly, but I chose not to let it affect the experience. However, at the time of checkout, I paid in cash, and he returned saying the bill “didn’t look legit.” I calmly asked if he had a counterfeit detection marker to verify it, to which he replied that they don't use one.
I respectfully pointed out that if he’s questioning the authenticity of a bill, there should be a proper method to verify it before implying to a customer that it might be fake and he responded very rudely that we do not need one.

It's not only unprofessional but also quite disrespectful.
I hope this feedback reaches the server and serves as a reminder to treat every guest with courtesy, professionalism, and a welcoming attitude — which is something I’ve otherwise consistently experienced here.

Stopped by El Camino on 32nd and Lowell in Denver around 2:00 p.m. on Taco Tuesday, and it was a great experience. The atmosphere was really nice and welcoming. The staff and our server Steph was amazing—attentive and friendly the whole time.

The $2 tacos were delicious with a great variety to choose from. We had the Brisket, Carnitas, Chorizo, and Beans. (definitely worth checking out their menu online). On top of that, their homebrew beers paired perfectly with the tacos. Overall, an excellent spot for Taco Tuesday—good food, great drinks, and outstanding service!

A wonderful spot with great service! I enjoyed the unique taco options, so many great vegetarian choices. The bbq mushroom taco was fantastic. I really enjoyed the dessert as well. The dipping sauces were delicious. Thanks for a fun night.

We’ve been coming here for probably 12 years. But! It’s been awhile. So when we were in the hood tonight we decided to give it another shot. The manager / host was friendly, helpful and welcoming. The service was on point. The ambiance was better than we remembered and the food was scrumptious. Thanks for being one of the last solid OG spots in the area.

athe worst of the meal experiences on my recent trip to denver. the only restaurant with the 20% auto service charge in which the server did not mention it. i was very excited as the shrimp and grits on green chile polenta is a rare treat for me. however, they brought it out with the wrong red sauce. i would have asked the server about but neither of the three of them checked back on the meals. service suboptimal despite the place not crowded. i do enjoy the sunday pub atmosphere. would not go back.

My first real car was an El Camino and I love tacos, so I couldn't resist trying el Camino.

The staff were friendly and attentive. There's a relaxed and inviting vibe to the restaurant. The decor is stylish and fun.

I skipped lunch so I was pretty hungry. After looking at the menu, I ordered the brisket fries and carnita, portobello, and chicken tacos. The brisket was really good, and the tacos were seasoned very well.

I will definitely come back to try the other items on the menu.

What a great place! Bobby helped us at the bar and Al was our server, and both were amazing. This place is crazy busy and loud, but in a good way. Al was great and made amazing food recommendations. Bobby was our bar tender and made amazing drink recommendations, as we waited for a table and once we were at a table he continued to check on us all through out the night. All the food was delicious from the starters until the only dessert they make. This is a great place in a great neighborhood with great staff.

I ordered the Chimi Fried Califlower and Pinapple Margarita, so good. The service was amazing. We sat outside. Cool breeze on a hot day!

I love El Camino so much. I’ve lived in the area for about 3 years and this spot is the one I frequent most often. The staff is always so kind, respectful, and attentive. The food is really good (their happy hour snack menu is my FAVE.) The drinks are really good. They have a selection of infused tequilas. The whole vibe is just great. If you’re looking for a place where everybody knows your name with good eats, spirits and peeps — you can’t go wrong with El Camino. I’m genuinely thankful to have a place I can frequent that feels safe and welcoming!

Food/drinks and vibes were excellent but the customer service was really the highlight - staff went above and beyond for me while waiting for my date to show up (an hour late) and it was so appreciated! What would have been an embarrassment, the staff made me feel so comfortable and taken care of! Would definitely go back, without my “date” next time! Thank you guys!
