The giant margaritas are perfect for sharing, and I love that they have options without overly sugary mix. The fajita burrito I had was so filling; I could only eat about half of it...and it was great the next day with eggs on top reheated! My husband got the nachos and they were bomb, too. Can't wait to go back soon!

Really glad to discover this restaurant in the neighborhood. The service was amazing and the food was great too! I had the michelada which was gigantic and tasty. We got the nachos with chicken and the enchiladas, everything was fresh and it came out in less that 10 minutes. Will be back soon thank you!!

First time here today, happy 4th !, and we loved it! New to the area so we’ve now found our Mex spot. Edgar was such a nice and attentive server! We had the steak fajitas and the taco trio of carnitas, asada and fish. Delicious! The frijoles tasted like my abuelitas, god rest her soul. Always a good sign when the beans are good.??Best part was the atmosphere! Open breeze way windows feels like eating al fresco while indoors. Now if only they served menudo on weekends. ??*multiple sampling of the margaritas and then finally the cucumber vodka mint lemonade (now my favorite).? ????

This place is unreal. 10/10 recommend. My wife and I stumbled upon this place by accident after the place we originally planned to go was super busy. I am so glad we stopped in here. The service was top notch, the food was phenomenal, and the atmosphere was fantastic. If you’re in the area you definitely need to make time to stop here.
Highlands hidden gem! This place is so underrated. I saw some reviews say that the prices are high- but it’s worth it! The drinks are phenomenal, highly recommend the smoked pomegranate Marg. We also got the dip flight, the carnitas, and the enchiladas. All we’re delicious, and the service was spot on! I wish I had gotten the name of the gal that served us, but she was great! Highly recommend checking this place out!
Ate here before the George Straight concert, there was no wait to be seated, but food still took over 30 mins to come out. When it did, everything was wrong. My wife ordered steak fajitas, she got chicken and shrimp. I ordered chicken enchiladas, got pork. We ate what we got, since we wanted to make it to the concert, but the food wasn't really that good. We each had a drink and the bill was $100, won't be wasting my time or $ here again. So many better options for Mexican food in North Denver.
Very underrated spot! Some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in Denver. Highly recommend the chips and salsa flight with queso and the green Chile chicken enchiladas.
Overcomplicated food in my opinion. The deconstructed guacamole is basically here’s the ingredients now you make and mix it yourself. Why? Do table side for the $14 guac instead. Tried 3 different tacos. None of them had any authenticity but were piled high with lots of sauce (fish, pastor, chicken). The pastor was good but the other two did not enjoy. The mango margarita was super sweet. Could hardly taste tequila. Overall not the worst Mexican I’ve had but at the prices expect much higher quality.

Tried the Lychee (so good!), El Cazo (also good), and Lavender (a little too sweet for my taste) margaritas. Definitely going back to try more margaritas and entrees.

The tacos were absolutely incredible and alone worth a visit. Went with the shrimp, Al pastor, and barbacoa, all really well done and served perfectly.Margaritas were lackluster with a bit too much orange and lemon juice and not tequila-forward enough.Staff was incredible and hospitable. Can’t wait to see this place flourish!
El Cazo Mexican Kitchen in Denver truly stands out as one of the best Mexican food destinations in the city. Whether you're indulging in their savory tacos, savoring their flavorful enchiladas, or enjoying their zesty salsa, every bite is a delight. The attentive and friendly staff add to the overall positive dining experience. If you're craving genuine Mexican cuisine in Denver, El Cazo Mexican Kitchen is an absolute must-visit.
Chips and salsa were good. Drinks were ok. Food was uncommonly bad. Green chili I believe was made with canned meat. Cazo bowl proteins tasted frozen or canned as well. My 9 year old ordered chicken nuggets and would not eat them. Said they were “stretchy”. Nice place on the inside, service was fine. Just can’t imagine serving that food.
So glad this restaurant is open again. Just reopened in December under a new owner. From what I can tell so far, the food has only improved. Just went in in the middle of the day. Manager Paul and Edgar took great care of me. Vibe is the same casual but nice as before. I live a block away and definitely will be back when I can make an afternoon of it.
The restaurant just reopened so things may quickly change. I frequented the restaurant before it closed late in 2022.The new ownership has subtly changed many things about the restaurant. They charge $4 for chips and salsa and you receive a tiny amount of ok tasting house salsa whereas before the salsa was THE thing I told my friends about. In general it feels like they are trying to maintain the old restaurant menu but they don't have the quality of the old menu, so some dishes came across as an under seasoned immatation. The prices were very steep but you do receive large portions.I feel like this restaurant would be better served carving out it's own path/rebranding. There is very little marketing/Google presence so it's hard to find online menus, happy hour times, etc.The storefront is not inviting so from the street its hard to determine if the restaurant is still closed or is actually open for people.
